*HISTORY*
Bevlab South Suburban Animal Hospital was founded in 1968 by Dr. Warren Anderson and Dr. Robert Keough to provide comprehensive medical, surgical and preventative care to the pets of our community. Today Bevlab continues that tradition, and our hospital includes a full diagnostics laboratory, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, hospitalization and intensive care areas, and a complete pharmacy. Dr. Leslie Plowe
Dr. Plowe graduated from the University of Illinois in 1981, and has been in practice ever since. Dr. Plowe loves all her clients and their pets, but she is especially interested in internal medicine and dermatology cases. When she is not at work, Dr. Plowe can be found gardening, exercising, or catching a White Sox game. She loves to cook, spend time with her family, and shares her home with four cats. Dr. Susan Wardrip
Dr. Wardrip is a 1978 honors graduate of Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Bevlab Animal Hospital in September of 2015 after closing Crestwood Animal Clinic that she co-owned with her husband, Dr. Craig Wardrip, for 33 years. She has three children and five grandchildren. Jackson, her Golden Retriever is often joined by their granddog, Piper, a Weimaraner. Dr. Wardrip loves seeing all of her Crestwood families and pets and meeting all the Bevlab clients with their pets. Dr. Sarah Maloney
Dr. Maloney graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She joined Bevlab in May 2021 after spending 7 years working at a clinic on Chicago’s north side. A native of Naperville, Dr. Maloney grew up with a profound love of animals and successfully pursued that passion. She finds nothing more rewarding than seeing improvement in the health of her patients and has a particular interest in dentistry. Dr. Jessica Sturms *Joining us February 2022!!*
Dr. Sturms will be joining the Bevlab team on February 14, 2022!! She will graduate from St George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2022. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She worked at Bevlab prior to attending veterinary school and learned a lot from the other doctors. Dr Sturms loves all creatures; she has a pet bearded dragon named Chip and a Beagle mix dog named Sammy! Her interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, cytology and much more. When Dr. Sturms isn’t working with your beloved pets, she enjoys hiking, traveling, going to concerts, and cooking various dishes with her significant other, Matt.
