Meet Sour Cream (F), Onion (M) & Vinegar (M) --- three adorable kittens looking for their forever homes! ❤️

These little members of our BVH “snack pack” are about 3 months old and ready to find their families. They’ll be fully vaccinated prior to adoption, along with deworming and all the usual kitten care.
And yes…there is a Salt. 😂 She came to us a little more on the feral side and is still learning that humans aren’t so bad. She'll make her debut when she's ready!

This little guy was brought to us last night after being hit by a car near Eyeland in Berwick. We were able to stabilize him, but we are trying to find his owners! Please share and call us with any info at 570-784-6440.

Today would have been Max’s 8th birthday. ❤️🐾

Yesterday, Max’s family surprised our team with four dozen absolutely gorgeous cupcakes in honor of his birthday - and an incredibly thoughtful note that made the meaning behind them even sweeter.

Max passed away unexpectedly in February. His family shared that they never knew his actual birthday, so they chose August 8th as his day and celebrated it with him every year. This year, they chose to celebrate by sharing a little bit of Max’s birthday with us.

Their note thanked our team for the care we’ve given Max and Pearl over the years, and especially Dr. Hunsinger for the kindness she showed their family after they had to say goodbye to Max. Being trusted to care for someone's beloved pet through the years - and to be there for their family during the hardest moments - is a privilege we never take for granted. We’re incredibly touched that, on a day that means so much to their family, they thought of us.

And because these cupcakes deserve some recognition of their own - a huge shout-out to Once Upon a Whisk in Milton for creating all FOUR DOZEN of these beauties! 🧁🐶🐱 They were almost too cute to eat. Almost. 😉

Mandy and Shawn, thank you for sharing Max’s birthday with us, for trusting us with Max and Pearl, and for such an incredibly kind surprise.

🎉 Exciting news! We’re expanding our weekend hours - on a trial basis! 🎉

Over time, we’ve recognized that many pets need emergency care beyond our current weekend hours - especially on Mondays, when primary care veterinarians are often fully booked following the weekend.

Because of this, we’re excited to announce that we’re trialing expanded weekend hours for 4 weeks to determine if there is enough demand to make this a permanent change!

🗓️ Beginning Monday, August 17th, our emergency hospital will be open:
🐾 Fridays at 7:00PM through Tuesdays at 7:00AM
🐾 Currently, our other weeknight hours will remain the same: 7:00PM - 7:00AM

That means we’ll be available all day Monday to provide continued hospitalization, as well as emergency care for sick and injured pets, helping bridge the gap after the weekend and ensuring more families have access to emergency veterinary care.

Thank you for trusting us with your pets. We look forward to continuing to serve our community with greater availability!

Sorry to Orange Julius Caesar Salad's owners...we accidentally turned him into an iPad kid! 😂

After an emergency urinary unblocking performed by Animal Emergency Center, we monitored him for the day while he recovered. Lindsey noticed he was a little restless, so she set him up to watch some chipmunks and birds!

What do you think his screen time was? 🤔

We have a raffle fundraiser going on at BVH! Proceeds go to pets needing lifesaving treatments. Stop by the hospital to grab some tickets! The raffle runs through 9/1. We will be in contact with the winners directly, so please do not follow any links through Facebook.
