Keystone Riders - what do you do after your fast runs this weekend?? How about making a trip to Knoebels Amusement Resort (less than 30 minutes away). Take a dip in the beautiful Crystal pool or ride the waterslides to cool off...Don't want to swim but love the water option - the Log Flume or Sploosh are your options ((we dare you to stand on the bridge at the Sploosh).
Don't miss it - make it a fun weekend all the way around for your family and friends (even the non-horsey ones)!
See you soon and safe travels.
Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, was just named the No. 1 amusement and water park in the United States in Tripadvisor's 2026 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Awards, beating out Disney's Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Dollywood. The 99-year-old family-owned park has had one defining feature since it opened on July 4, 1926: it has never charged admission. Visitors pay per ride or buy a day pass, and just walking in to enjoy the food stands, campgrounds, and grounds is free. Brian Knoebel, the 52-year-old great-grandson of founder Henry Hartman Knoebel, took over as park president last fall and told Spotlight PA in May 2026 that he had to "pinky swear" to his family that he would never end the free admission policy as the park heads into its 100th birthday this July. Nine members of the founding family still work at the park, which now has over 60 rides, 38 food stands, games, campgrounds, and a golf course. Knoebel says the free admission policy is what lets grandparents bring grandkids without feeling pressured to ride everything, and that throwback feel is what keeps people coming back year after year. Tell us in the comments the most loved local spot in your area that never seems to change with the times. π‘
