Queen Millie 👑💜
I’m not ready to write a goodbye post for this girl. Not yet.
Millie has been part of the Jen’s Hound Haven family for a couple of years, coming here with her daughters and becoming one of those dogs who simply feels like she belongs here.
She is also one of the strongest girls I know. Millie has fought lymphoma twice and went into remission. Last year she had her leg amputated and somehow just kept being our sweet, happy Queen Millie.
Now she’s facing another battle. We learned that she has fluid surrounding her heart and cancer nodules in her lungs. The reality is that we may not have nearly as much time with her as any of us want.
But today, she is still here. So today, we love her.
And we’re asking for all the prayers you can give our girl. 🙏
Pray for more time. As much as her little body will comfortably give her.
Pray that those days are good days. Days filled with sunshine, treats, her people, her daughters, familiar places and all the love she has spent her whole life giving back to everyone else.
Most of all, please pray for comfort. That she isn’t afraid. That she isn’t hurting. That she feels safe and knows just how incredibly loved she is.
Millie has beaten the odds before, so there will always be a little piece of us hoping she surprises us one more time. But whatever happens, we just want our Queen to have as much comfortable, happy, loved time as possible.
She is truly the sweetest girl. The kind who will sit beside you and listen when you need someone, without asking for anything in return. She has been there for so many of us.
Now we’re asking everyone to be there for her.
