Want to know more about our new doctor? She starts next Monday! Here is a little bit about Dr DeMay:

Dr. Jenna DeMay is excited to begin her veterinary career and join the team at Americana Animal hospital. She is looking forward to building lasting relationships with clients and helping their pets live happy, healthy lives. Originally from Normal, Illinois, she graduated from Normal Community High School in 2017 before attending Illinois Wesleyan University, where she played collegiate golf and earned her bachelors of science degree in 2021.

After completing veterinary school at Iowa State University, Dr. DeMay is thrilled to serve the community and combine her passion for animals with compassionate, personalized care. She especially enjoys getting to know both pets and their families and values the trust that develops through those relationships over time.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. DeMay enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with her four cats. She is also looking forward to adopting a dog in the near future and continuing to grow her own furry family.

We have BIG news! Let’s all give a warm welcome to our newest doctor-

Dr Jenna DeMay, DVM

Some of our staff got to go celebrate Dr DeMay’s graduation from Iowa State Veterinary School and we are beyond excited to have her start seeing patients at Americana on June 1st! Jenna graduated magna cm laude and is excited about getting to care for animal wellbeing while simultaneously creating a supportive environment to educate owners.

Both of our doctors will be out of office for a family gathering this Thursday-Monday (2/26-3/2). During this time, you can contact the clinic/our team if you need anything, and they will help guide you on our recommendations. The time has come 😢…
Sue is retiring after 34 years at Americana to be a full time grandma. We are so so happy for her and so grateful for all of the love and energy she has given our family and the patients here at Americana. 34 years of dedication to us and to you, our clients. She has been the face and the voice of the practice for so long, and we will miss her greatly! Please stop by sometime this week to sign her photo, drop off a card, or just say hello. Her last day is Thursday, Oct 16, but don’t fret too much! She will be in and out occasionally on Saturdays to help out. Sue, we THANK YOU!!

Announcement 📣 : both of our doctors will be out of the office this Friday afternoon (12/6) through all of Monday (12/9) for a family event. We will not be seeing any appointments during this time. Please call the office should you have an emergency for information on where to be directed as we still have staff working these days.

Also, seeing that the local emergency clinic is having some unexpected closures, it doesn’t hurt to remind everyone that the University of Illinois Vetmed is open for emergencies 24/7. Their phone number is: (217) 333-5300
