The Nest: Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation

Two weeks ago we had to say goodbye to sanctuary pup Levi. We took him in from a local animal shelter 16 years ago. He had been left outside in the bitter cold wino food or water. His litter mate was dead when Levi was taken away from his owner. Levi was adopted twice but his strong protection instinct was difficult to handle. After the second time we decided to let him stay at The Nest Sanctuary. We loved him very much and cherished his uniqueness until his body could no longer go on.
We miss you Bud! ♥️

We are thrilled to let you know that Helga and Katy went to their new forever home together. After the long hard winter months with limited interactions, we made sure the puppies got acclimated to their new environment through several visits. But really, it was an immediate click for everyone. 😍😍 💜💜💜💜

The party interested in adopting Helga and Katy together unfortunately have backed out. We just activated their profiles again on Adopt-A-Pet/our website. PLEASE do read the entire provided description if you are interested in adopting. We do require a securely fenced in yard for all the puppies (we do not accept an invisible fence).💜💜💜

Katy, Selah and Helga are so good at waiting for breakfast and eating in their crates. Progress! Anyone who takes them on will have to continue to patiently train these puppies by rewarding wanted behavior over and over, re-directing when they chew on something they are not supposed to, use treats to get them used to crate little by little.. They are very smart and eager to please their person. AND DON'T FORGET CHEW TOYS (soft Nylabones, smallest Kong, etc. )!!
