🐾 Patient Success Story – Burrow 🐾

When Burrow first came to Eastland Companion Animal Hospital in November 2025, he was seeking a second opinion after being diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Once considered a devastating diagnosis, advances in treatment have given many cats a new chance at life.

Burrow started treatment with GS-441524 and came in regularly for rechecks. With each visit, he continued to improve, and he successfully completed treatment in February.

We're excited to share that Burrow recently returned to celebrate a very special milestone—his first birthday! 🎉 Even better, his FIP has resolved, allowing him to receive his routine vaccines and continue enjoying life as a healthy young cat. 💙

Way to go, Burrow! Happy Birthday, and thank you to your family for trusting us to be part of your journey.

If your pet has been diagnosed with a serious illness, don't hesitate to discuss all available treatment options with your veterinarian. Advances in veterinary medicine continue to create new possibilities for our patients every day.

✨ Patient Success Story – Willa ✨

Willa’s family had quite the scare after a trip to the park when she swallowed a fish hook with bait attached. They contacted us right away, and Dr. Huschen was able to safely remove the hook before it could cause more serious complications. 🎣

After suture removal, Willa is doing great — and all smiles at her recheck appointment! 💙🐾

If your pet ever swallows something unusual or potentially dangerous, seeking veterinary care as soon as possible can make all the difference.

✨ Patient Success Story – Toby ✨

After dealing with intermittent vomiting for about a week, Toby came to Eastland Companion Animal Hospital for answers. X-rays revealed a foreign object in his stomach, and Dr. Huschen performed surgery to remove it — which turned out to be what appeared to be a cat toy mouse on wheels! 🐭

Now, about a week after suture removal, Toby is doing great at home and back to feeling like himself again. 💙🐾

If your pet has ongoing vomiting, decreased appetite, or seems “off,” it’s always a good idea to have them evaluated — sometimes our pets swallow some pretty unexpected things!
