As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

🐾✨ Meet the Team: Stephanie! ✨🐾

Say hello to Stephanie, our Lead Customer Service Representative! 💛

Stephanie has been in veterinary medicine for 7 years and has spent all 7 of those years here at our hospital. Her friendly personality and welcoming presence help make every client and patient feel right at home 🐾

🐱 At Home:
Stephanie has four feline companions:
• Mocha – 8-year-old Siamese
• Skye – 7-year-old Snowshoe
• Izumi – 8-year-old gray & white DSH
• Orbit – 2-year-old tabby

💛 What She Loves Most:
Stephanie loves building connections not only with patients, but with their owners too. She enjoys helping everyone feel comfortable and welcomed the moment they walk through our front doors.

🐾 Favorite Patients:
Stephanie says she can’t really choose — she loves them all!

🌿 Outside of Work:
Outside the hospital, Stephanie stays busy with her kids’ dance and soccer activities. She also enjoys visiting farmers markets, creating diamond art, relaxing under a cozy blanket, and exploring aquariums and zoos.

🌊 If she were an animal…
Stephanie says she’d be a stingray because they look majestic and free while swimming 💙

✨ You may also spot her daughter, Ty’kayla, helping out around the grooming salon this summer!

We’re excited to spotlight one of our dedicated veterinarians, Dr. McAfee!

With 20 years in veterinary medicine and 13 years at our hospital, Dr. McAfee brings both experience and compassion to every appointment.

🐱 At Home:
She shares life with two cats and even an aquatic turtle

🩺 Special Interests:
Dr. McAfee has a special interest in dentistry and feline medicine. Our cat patients are lucky to have someone who truly understands their unique needs.

🐾 Favorite Patients:
Cats, of course! 🐈

🎬 Outside of Work:
When not at the hospital, she enjoys resting and relaxing, watching movies and TV, and reading a good book.

🐾 If she were an animal…
A house cat — eating, sleeping, and never having to worry about a thing. Honestly… we get it 😄

Say hello to one of our amazing Veterinary Technicians, Amber!

Amber has been in veterinary medicine for 5 years and has been part of our hospital family for 3 years. Her dedication and compassion for both pets and their people make her such a valued part of our team 💛

🐶 At Home:
Amber has a full crew waiting for her after work: Zeus the Husky, Kahlua the Shiba Inu, Nigera the Pit Mix and Gearbox the Foxhound Mix
Safe to say there’s never a dull moment in her house 😄

🩺 What She Loves Most About the Job:
Seeing the look on clients’ faces when we’re able to help their beloved pets feel better. Those moments make it all worth it.

🐄 Favorite Patients:
Cows! (Yes — she has a soft spot for large animals!)

📚 Outside of Work:
You can find Amber reading, watching horror movies, or taking spontaneous drives to random spots just to shop and explore.

We’re excited to introduce one of our amazing Veterinary Technicians, Maddox!

Maddox has been in veterinary medicine for 7 years and has been part of our hospital family for almost 2 years. His compassion and dedication to patient care makes such a difference.

🐱 At Home:
He’s a proud cat dad to three adorable kitties: a gray tabby named Luna, a tortoiseshell named Bean and a calico named Pip

🩺 What He Loves Most:
Maddox loves helping the furbabies of the world — because they’re family too 💛 He has a special interest in ultrasound and finds it fascinating to see all the internal organs and better understand what’s going on beneath the surface.

🐾 Favorite Patients:
Lovable cats… and every Golden Retriever ever (no exceptions 😄).

🌎 Outside of Work:
When he’s not at the hospital, you’ll find him cooking, baking, going to the gym, or traveling.

🐕 If he were an animal…
He’s often been compared to a Golden Retriever — loyal, friendly, intelligent, and devoted. We can’t argue with that!

🐾✨ New Patient Welcome: Tito! ✨🐾

Everyone say hello to Tito, an adorable long-haired French Bulldog who came to visit us this week 🐶💛

French Bulldogs are known for their playful personalities, affectionate nature, and signature bat-like ears. They thrive on companionship and love being close to their families, which is one reason they’ve become such a popular breed.

Long-haired Frenchies, like Tito, carry a rare gene that gives them their fluffy coats — making them extra unique!

Because French Bulldogs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, it’s especially important to monitor them for overheating and breathing difficulties, particularly during warmer weather or strenuous activity. Routine veterinary care helps keep them healthy and comfortable throughout their lives 🐾

We loved meeting Tito and all his fluffy Frenchie charm 💛
