💙 DUCKY UPDATE! 💙

We have some BIG news… Ducky has officially had his surgery, and he is doing AMAZING! 🥹🐾

We cannot thank everyone enough for the love, support, prayers, donations, shares, and encouragement you’ve given this sweet boy throughout his journey. Because of YOU, Ducky has been given the chance to heal, grow, and live the happy life he deserves. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Dr. Rebecca Smith and the entire Eminence team for partnering with us to save this adorable baby and for giving him a successful surgery. We are so grateful for your expertise, compassion, and willingness to be part of Ducky’s story. 🩺💙

Ducky absolutely LOVES his physical therapy and playtime! 🥰 He’s learning all sorts of new ways to play, move, and have fun — and he’s proving that having three legs isn’t going to slow him down one bit! 🐶💪

For now, Ducky will continue to stay with us while he fully recovers. And don’t worry… this is definitely NOT the last you’ll see of him! 😍 We’ll be sharing plenty more photos and videos as he continues to heal, learn, and show us just how incredible he is.

Today we celebrate DOGust 1st, the universal birthday for shelter and rescue pets whose exact birthdays are unknown. Every wagging tail, every hopeful heart, and every second chance deserves to be celebrated. 💙

Ducky was a little too small still for his surgery last week. We are going to let him grow a bit more and he is scheduled again for surgery in August. His bandage doesn’t stop his ability to play at all. Thank you to everyone for the continued support on his road to healing!

🐾🔥 National Pet Fire Safety Awareness Day 🔥🐾

Our pets depend on us to keep them safe—and that includes being prepared for the unexpected.

Today is a reminder to take a few simple steps that could make all the difference:
🐶 Install and test smoke alarms regularly.
🐱 Include your pets in your family's fire escape plan.
🏷️ Keep collars, ID tags, and microchip information up to date.
🧯 Keep matches, candles, and other fire hazards out of curious paws' reach.
🎒 Prepare a pet emergency kit with food, water, medications, leashes, and recent photos.
🚪 Place a pet alert sticker or sign on your front door listing how many pets are in your home and where they are most likely to be found. This can help firefighters quickly locate and rescue your pets during an emergency.

If a fire occurs:
🚪 Get out and stay out.
📞 Call 911 from a safe location.
❤️ Never re-enter a burning building for people or pets.

A little preparation today can help protect the ones who love us unconditionally.

Miss Quinn came in to see us yesterday, and soaked up all of the treats and cuddles! She is the sweetest and the cutest little puppy!

Quinn came to us with a couple of scratches on her face that were bleeding a good amount. We were able to do a new Phovia light treatment on her that will help promote fast healing of the skin, and reduce inflammation!

Phovia light therapy is an option that we just started offering yesterday right in time to help fix her all up!! We are so glad that we got to see her and help her and her new parents out! We even gave her one of our awards for the day for being such a good sport during her treatment!

Meet Crow!! This is not something that we do often, but we are so glad that we did this time! Crow was a stray that was found near by in rough condition. He was VERY malnourished and had a really rough respiratory infection that was also spreading to his eyes.

Our nurses banded together and managed to treat his illnesses and he gained a good amount of weight. After a lot of work he was able to find his forever home in the arms of his new favorite little girl! We love happy endings!
