Little Jack just set another first for Klee Kai!! In Finland, they have a top Show Dog list, and for the first time EVER, a Klee Kai appears on it!! Given the significant amount of show dogs appearing on this All Breed list...this is very cool. Congrats to Jack and his family, I am so incredibly proud of you!!

Finally got Faoláin's win and ringside photo ordered!! Looked away for one moment and naturally that's when the photo was taken 😂 At least my boy is pretty 😂
Thank you again for the gorgeous ribbons, my friends for a great time, and my mentor and friend for introducing me to this wonderful breed and taking a chance on me 💜🐾💜🐾

Brothers. Littermates. The ONLY Klee Kai in breed history to achieve FCI group placements. And to do so as a rare breed in HUGE groups, is pretty amazing.
Jack needs one more certificate to become a Finnish Champion, and both boys have 1 certificate toward their NORD Championship.

(Freddie x Azeem)entered his first official show today along his owner, who is also brand new to showing. They entered Finland’s first Klee Kai specialty where Jack won Best of Breed and Best in Specialty!! He also secured his first certificate toward his Championship! Not a bad way to kick off his show career. I am so proud of him and his owner 💜 Making the decision to enter the dog show world can be very intimidating, but they surely did it in style.
Critique from the judge Mari Lackman:
2 years old. Excellent breed type and proportions. Good head profile. Good bite. Good ears. Excellent body and limb structure. Good tail. Excellent angulation. In excellent coat. Moves with balance and straightness when viewed from all directions.

How hot is it? It’s “my dog melted hot”. Just a friendly reminder shaving your double coated dog does NOT help it stay cooler!! It makes it harder for them to regulate their body temperature. Yes it’s ok to trim hair, but don’t shave them.
Also, if you must walk your dog, place your hand or foot on the pavement for a full 30 seconds. If it’s hot for you it’s hot for your dog, yes they can burn their feet!!
Lastly, if you see a dog in a car, DO NOT BREAK A WINDOW! That is destruction of property and you can go to jail. Instead, know the warning signs of a overheated dog and call 911
