🐾 HOW THE DOGBARN ROUTINE WORKS — NO LEASHES NEEDED! 🐾
Ever wonder how we move our boarding dogs from their private spaces to outdoor playtime without putting them on a leash?
At the DogBarn, we designed our routine so the dogs can move safely and comfortably on their own. 🐶🌿
🔹 Private runs: Each dog has their own individual 10 ft outdoor run for potty time.
🔹 Easy access: With the push of a button, our electric doors open and the dogs can go outside when it’s time.
🔹 Potty first: They have the opportunity to p*e and poo in their own private run without being rushed.
🔹 Playtime: Once each dog is finished, separately, they’re released into our large, enclosed grassy play area, of supervised exercise and enrichment. ☀️🐕
🔹 Back to their own space: When playtime is over, the dogs naturally return to their own runs and wait comfortably while we refresh their food and water. They gladly return, as they are tired and ready to eat.
No dragging. No tugging. No pulling. No jerking on a leash just to get a dog from point A to point B.
They learn the routine—and once they understand it, they know exactly what comes next. ❤️ FOOD.TREATS.WATER
Leashes are still used when appropriate, for instance, on trail walks and activities where leash skills are necessary. Trail walks are permitted after 3 days. Normal potty and play routine, there simply isn’t a need to put a leash on dogs. Not good on leash? They dont go on trail walks for safety. 1800sq ft playyard is their friend!😬
This is one of the things that makes the DogBarn different. We’ve created a calm, predictable, dog-centered routine that allows our guests to move through their day with as little unnecessary handling of leads as possible.
