We do not know how these dogs are with children or cats. Viewing is by appointment only, there are no shelter hours open to the public. All family members including animals must come to meet the dog. Please call 860-757-4395 or message the page if you are interested in a dog you see posted. The Animal Control Officer will respond in a first come/first serve basis. Adoption fee for CT residents is

$50 which includes a medical voucher that provides $200 towards spay/neuter and $30 towards a vaccine (must be a veterinarian based in CT that accepts this voucher, ACO can provide a list of hospitals that do accept it). Adoption fee for out of state residents is $5 and does not include medical voucher.

She was found with dog number 81. We believed they were either dumped or escaped the horrible life. They were forced to live. She is severely underweight, as long nails, her skin and fur are in deplorable condition.
She was seen by a vet and had her nails clipped and her body examined. She does not have mange. She is in this condition due to the horrible conditions she lived in.

This sweet boy was found with dog number 82. We believe they were either dumped or escaped the horrible life they were living.
He is underweight, his toenails were very long, and his skin and fur are in deplorable condition. He was seen by a vet and had his nails clipped and was examined. He does not have mange. His condition is because of his neglectful life he was made to live.
He is eating several times a day and getting all the TLC he needs.
