to a very special day in Glenview Farm history!

On December 5, 1997, we had the honor of welcoming NJ Governor Christie Whitman to the farm! Keeping up with the annual state tradition, she visited us right here in Blairstown to kick off the “Choose and Cut” season by cutting down a beautiful 8-foot spruce for Blair Academy.

Pictured with the governor are George and Helen, farmer Dan’s parents, and original owners of the farm! We take pride in running a multi generational farm to keep that same family tradition alive for you and your families for generations to come!

We love looking back at our roots. Who remembers coming out to the farm in the ‘90s?

The original picture is in slide two, slide one is just a cleaned up version!

We would like to introduce everyone to our newest farm hand, Hailey! She is still learning the ropes on the farm and trying to resist chewing on all of the fresh “sticks” the humans kept putting in the ground! We know Bear will be watching over her, she has big shoes to fill! 🐾

Annual planting day! 🌱 ➡️ 🌲

After a long winter hiatus we had all farm hands back at the farm yesterday for our annual tree planting. We planted around 1,000 Frasier, Douglas and Canaan firs in two separate fields this weekend.

Regardless of the time of year or season, farmer Dan is always busy on the farm mowing, planting, preparing fields, shearing and putting away/setting up the tree sale operation. Countless hours of hard work go into each and every tree on the farm!
