Congratulations to Debbie McQuilkin of Abby Normal Farm in Spokane, Washington, on the purchase of Sunny Andean Kazoo and her son, Sunny IKE Katusa. We sincerely appreciate Debbie’s trust in the Sunny Alpacas breeding program and the decision to choose our alpacas.

Kazoo is currently being bred to our outstanding grey herdsire, KVR’s Peruvian True Eye Candy “IKE.” Katusa is also a son of IKE, making this a very special 3-in-1 package that includes Kazoo, Katusa, and Kazoo’s future cria.

Kazoo has a calm and gentle temperament. Although she is a first-time mother, she has abundant milk and is doing an excellent job raising her cria. Katusa is also growing strong and healthy and is a promising young male with a bright future.

We sincerely hope that Kazoo, Katusa, and the future cria will bring valuable genetics to Abby Normal Farm’s grey breeding program and play an important role in its continued success.

Sunny Peruvian Julia earned **1st Place in Produce of Dam** at the **2026 CALPACA Autumn Fleece Extravaganza!**

She also placed **2nd in Produce of Dam** at the **2026 AOA National Fleece Show** earlier this year. Her outstanding results at two prestigious fleece shows have once again proven that she is one of the finest producing females in the United States today.

Julia consistently passes on fine, soft fleece, excellent uniformity, impressive density, and beautiful overall balance to her offspring. Her ability to produce exceptional offspring with consistent quality is one of her greatest strengths.

Sunny Andean Juliette received Reserve Color Champion and 1st Place honors in the Brown division at the CALPACA Autumn Fleece Extravaganza.

With these latest awards, Juliette is now a two-time champion and a five-time first-place winner.

Sunny Sao Liam received 1st Place at the 2026 CALPACA Autumn Fleece Extravaganza in California. He also earned an Advanced Fleece Award with an outstanding score of 85.0.

This achievement follows his recent 3rd Place finish and Advanced Fleece Award at the AOA National Fleece Show, as well as his 2nd Place finish and Advanced Fleece Award at the PAOBA Fleece Show. These are among the largest and most prestigious fleece shows in the United States.

Liam is sired by Sunny Premier Sao Paulo, a seven-time champion, and his dam is Accoyo America Livia, who ranks in the top 1% for EPDs. Livia was recently sold to Karen Kelly of Arapaho Rose Alpacas in California.

His outstanding pedigree and consistent success at these major shows further confirm that Liam is a top-quality future herd sire with exceptional fleece quality and consistency.

We just received the results from the 2026 CALPACA Autumn Fleece Extravaganza Fleece Show!

First, our two-year-old brown female, Sunny Andean Juliette, earned Reserve Champion and 1st Place. Juliette, who is currently bred to IKE, has now earned her second championship title!

Another two-year-old female, Sunny Holy Zelda, earned 1st Place in the Roan class. Zelda, who is bred to IKE, has been sold to White Oak Ranch in California. Congratulations to her new owners, Evelyn and Kenneth!

Our one-year-old male, Sunny Sao Liam, earned 1st Place in the White class and also received an Advanced Fleece Award with an impressive score of 85.0. This is Liam’s third Advanced Fleece Award. He is an exceptionally promising young male, and we are very excited about his future.

We are very pleased to announce that Sunny IKE Centurion has been purchased in co-ownership by Arapaho Rose Alpacas and Lassen View Alpacas.

A special thank you to Karen Kelly, Lin & Steve Murray for believing in Centurion and our breeding program.

Centurion is a very promising and beautiful tuxedo grey male with tremendous potential as a future stud. He is truly an exciting result of our grey breeding program, combining beautiful color, strong genetics, excellent conformation, and quality fleece.
