Sadly, with a heavy heart, I regret to inform everyone that we had to let Dax go and say our final farewell last Wednesday.

It's taken me several days to be able to make this post for the parents of Dax's puppers out there; as it was heartbreaking to let him go.

He was the bestest of boys. The biggest of doofuses. Always surprising, always loving, and he'll be greatly missed.

I know our first corgi, Max, and his corgi wifey, Sydney, were there to greet him on the rainbow bridge.

Today after a year struggle with DM - We let go of our precious Sydney today. She was loved very much. She powered through like a champion and she will never be forgotten. Her Babies have left an ever lasting impression on the world and she will live on in them and within our hearts. She will never be forgotten.

Awe. Teary eyed.

This is why I hold my babies, pet them, look into their eyes, and talk to them in their final moments. Inside a vet's office and out. Animals only have so much control over their life. They count on their owners for SO much - to take care of them, to love them, to do what's right.

As a pet owner I know it is my responsibility to walk them through every stage of life - along with the hardest.
