"Why not be pleasant?" a groomer should ask themselves on occasion. A finished Groom with less stress should be the goal for all. A pet is a cherished loved one that receives petting, raise and approval from their parent. This can also be administered during grooming by the soft touch, constant use of the pets name and adapting to work with their behaviors. The most pleasant

grooms are those where the pet sees the groomer as a friend. Trust between the pet and groomer allows for a finished groom. With the companionship of the pet, the groom can be completed peacefully. the whole experience was pleasant for both pet and groomer. A parent knows when their pet is treated with respect by their behaviors. A wagging tail and expression of excitement on a dog can be seen for miles. The pride of knowing you will greet the parent with a happy dog makes you love your job. Show them you care and want to be there in the proper care of their pets skin and coat. Be present to greet your pet and parent with the confidence and respect of knowing you loved them while they were in your care.
