Don’t know what the rest of you all were up to today but it just another beautiful day in the Forest for us!

Today we took Martha, Wyatt, and Virgil (“The Earps”) for check-ups and vax. It’s pretty amazing we were able to wrangle all three, but we did it!
Even Virgil, shown here in a special vet uh…. Hug blanket… screaming bloody murder.
All told they were actually all very good (no one was asked to never come back, even Virgil) and are in really good shape (except maybe Wyatt who’s a tad… portly).

*Please note Virgil will probably be avoiding all of us for at least a few days…. Or longer… but you can probably scratch the other two!

The lovely Miss Connie came up in conversation yesterday and my photos app served her up to me this morning. That mare never asked for a thing except adequate groceries and was just an angel! Glad we were one of the good parts of her story!

We are still taking applications for new boarding clients in the beautiful Black Forest! Message or call to set up a tour!

TOO MUCH GRASS???

Even with our large pretty pastures, this isn’t a normal problem for this part of Colorado!

Nonetheless, we actually decided to mow pastures yesterday!

This helps keep the flies down, and makes sure that the stuff that grows in later this year or next Spring is yummy grass, and fewer weeds.

Next week’s project: replacing old fluorescent indoor arena lights with new brighter, quieter, more efficient LEDs!
