Please read. This is what happened to myself and my volunteer Katlyn tonight. These cats came back with me and we are SO grateful for our friends over at Meow Mission Coalition for stepping in to house them cause we’re out of quarantine space right now. This situation is sickening. We’re paying the vet bills for them this weekend and Meow Mission will be helping us with placement. Please consider sponsoring their spay here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/tnr-and-medical-bills-for-feral-cats

Hi everyone! We are in desperate need of cat food again along with donations to our general TNR fund. We are still far behind on paying down our medical bills for sick cats and the TNR cats. We still have 11 kittens currently in our care being socialized along with several medical cases and another 12 foster cats. So we are flying through our supplies as well. You can order off our chewy wishlist here: https://www.chewy.com/g/mountain-meows-feral-cat-initiative_b151850774

To donate to our TNR fund so we can help more community cats: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/tnr-and-medical-bills-for-feral-cats

Also, help us name our new tuxedo kitten below. We named his brother Mocha and his other brother Atlas but this shy fella needs a name!

🐱 BARN CAT HOMES NEEDED! 🐱

We have several barn cats looking for safe places to call home!

These cats came from a property where their owner passed away. After the home was sold, the new owner was not going to tolerate the cats continuing to live on the property.

While these cats are not currently house cats, they were friendly with the person who had been feeding them. With time, patience, and a consistent caregiver, we think many of them could become friendly with their new feeder too.

🏡 What we are looking for:
• Barn cats must go in pairs, such as 2, 4, or 6 cats.
• You must be willing to properly acclimate them before release.
• All cats come spayed/neutered, ear tipped, and vaccinated for rabies.
• We will bring the cats to you and help get them settled into your containment/acclimation area.
• We can travel up to one hour from Cumberland, MD, to get them to their new home.

These cats need a safe property where they can have shelter, food, fresh water, and someone committed to caring for them.
If you have a barn, farm, workshop, stable, or other appropriate property and would like to give a pair of barn cats a safe place to land, please send us a message! The link to apply is in the comments.

Hi everyone! I started a non-profit, Mountain Meows Feral Cat Initiative , this year to help humanely reduce the outdoor cat problem in Garrett and Allegany County. Our local shelters and other rescues are completely maxed out and my group helps to Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) community cats to reduce the strain on our shelters. We’ve been able to fix 197 cats so far this year and over 60 of those have actually been friendly or were kittens that we’ve fostered and adopted out or sent to adoption centers. Our current waitlist is 2000+ cats and I’m making this post to ask our community for help. While we’ve applied to grants, we have not been awarded any yet and we rely 100% on community donations. We need sponsors for community cat spays and neuters, cat food and litter donations, and we need volunteers willing to assist with fundraising, cat trapping, transportation, kitten fostering, etc. Even if you’re not able to donate or volunteer, sharing our page will also help us to reach people that may be able to. The link to make a tax deductible donation to our TNVR fund is: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/tnr-and-medical-bills-for-feral-cats

Hi everyone! I’ve been working as quickly as I can to get through my waitlist of cats. My biggest obstacle right now are the cats who do not have a sponsor. I am fixing a small colony of 4 cats in Frostburg (two females and two males) that desperately need sponsors. This friendly fella was tricked into a carrier this morning and I brought him home with me so he can get fixed next week. Please consider making a small donation so I can help this small colony out. Even $5 helps so much! https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/tnr-and-medical-bills-for-feral-cats

Hi everyone! We’re completely out of TNR funds still. We’ve been working on community cats that have been sponsored by their caregivers but over half of our waitlist are cats that desperately need sponsors to get fixed! Even $5 helps us to start working on these kitties too! If you cannot donate, please share our post so that hopefully it reaches someone who may be able to help us! ♥️🐈‍⬛ pictured below is a male kitty that needs a sponsor this upcoming week for his neuter $67. https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/tnr-and-medical-bills-for-feral-cats
