💙 💜 This is a very special week in veterinary medicine. Oct. 12-Oct. 18, 2025 is National Veterinary Technician Week. 💙 💜

We are so overwhelmingly proud and thankful for the 3 Veterinary Technicians we work with every day. Your compassion, skill, and dedication to our patients and clients is evident in all that you do. Pets aren’t always the best at saying “Thank you” for the gentle hold during their vaccine, the warm blanket during surgery, or the quick and efficient blood draw so they can get back to causing mischief; so we will say it for them! Your expertise and kindness touch every person and pet that walks/bounces through our doors.

Know that we all see the little things you do every day to make our clinic, and profession, the best it can be. Even on the busiest days you guys come to work with a smile on your face, and a joke ready for just the right time.

Please join us this week in celebrating Audra, Rachel, and Sonja for all that they do here at All Pets Veterinary Clinic. They are the heart of our practice and we truly couldn’t do it without them!

Dr Mike update!

Packed the family up to go pick up Dr. Mike this weekend in Denver. After a lot of road miles, nobody was more excited to see him than his Grandaughter 🥰 ! Less than 12 hours of being home and he’s already stopped into work to say “Hi” and make everyone a coffee 🙂

Dr Mike is still on sternal rest/restriction and not cleared to lift and see patients; but wanted to give you all an update that he’s back in Bismarck and in great spirits. We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers over the last 3 weeks!

📢 Update on Dr Mike, and a Temporary Change to Clinic Services

I wanted to give you all a quick update on a short term change around the clinic. For the near future our after hours services will be very limited. As some of you may know, Dr. Mike underwent a significant cardiovascular surgery in Denver last week. It was a very involved open heart surgery with a number of procedures at the same time. He has had a few bumps in the road, but this weekend made significant strides towards a full recovery. He was transferred out of the Cardiac ICU yesterday and is doing much better today! 🎉

We anticipate him being on medical leave for approximately 12 weeks. During this time our after hours services will be limited. Our nurses are not on after hours call, and Dr. Mike and myself see all of our patients when needed for after hours emergencies. When he is cleared to return to work we will again be available when needed. During his absence we are working very hard to ensure we have the time and capacity to care of all of our patients. Our normal daytime operations will remain the same. We have discussed scheduling logistics to try and ensure patients who need to be seen are able to get an appointment as quickly as possible. There most certainly will be an adjustment period here, and we appreciate the grace and patience you have all showed us. We are looking forward to having Dr. Mike back just as much as you all are!

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for one of the heartbeats of our clinic . Dr. Mike turns 70! 🥳🐾

With decades of dedication, compassion, and expertise, Dr. Mike has touched the lives of countless pets and their families. From early morning rounds to late-night emergencies, you’ve shown what it means to truly care.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to animal health and the kindness you bring to every patient (and pet parent!) you meet. Here’s to 70 amazing years, and many more ahead!

All Pets Veterinary Clinic will not be available for after-hours emergency services starting Friday, May 9 at 4:00 PM through Monday, May 19 at 8:00 AM.

Please plan accordingly, and contact alternative emergency veterinary services during this time if needed. Our regular business hours and operation will remain unchanged during this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to resuming our regular availability on May 19.

Remember when we shared the post about "Crinkle Fries" from Purrfect Pound Pals back in December? He was a rescue kitten that needed a risky surgery to give him a second chance at life. His surgery and recovery was successful...so successful that he stole the hearts of the clinic staff. Meet our new clinic cat, now named Rooney! He is adjusting to clinic life very well so far. He spends most of his time in the back micromanaging the clinic staff. Welcome to the family, Rooney! ❤️
