A short walk on a warm day sets up for a good day!

How is your household set up? Is your dog the leader or are you? How do you know? If you go out the door first, if you eat first, and if you lead on walks that makes you the leader… if your dog leaves the house first, if they jump on the couch whenever they want and not invited, or if they are out in front in walks then your dog rules the roost!

Why is this important? Because if your dog rules then I wouldn’t be surprised if they bark at other dogs, lunge at them, could very well bark at people… have destructive habits at home… all because they don’t have boundaries at home…

Why train? I mean a dog is “just” the family pet…

This sentiment of old is no longer valid as we have learned just how important these furry friends are to each of us! Training them not only for manners when we take them with but also for manners in our every day lives! A well behaved dog is wonderful and enjoyable to have around whereas a” wild child “ is not so much!

When we teach the basics and start teaching further behaviors we find that they love to learn and the possibilities are endless-bound only by our imagination and efforts!
