Hey Everyone! To help me promote by new page and get this news out, I am going to do a drawing for 2 lucky winners. Winners will receive 50% off an initial series of sessions ( a $100 value!). To be eligible for the contest, please follow and share page, then comment and tag 3 friends! Winner of the contest will be announced Tuesday, April 2nd.

I wanted to share our new page and some helpful information about a new venture I am taking!

Over the winter I took the opportunity to become ATS Certified and am currently about halfway through taking another 14 week program on Optimizing Equine Performance and Recovery to expand my knowledge and allow me to better serve our equine athletes. So… what is this and what does it mean??

New this year I will be offering Equine Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse Therapy! Last year while on the road with Petey I had the opportunity to use this therapy and knew it was great. Petey loved it and its benefits are limitless! When it comes to therapies used on horses, I’m pretty skeptical. I like to have scientific data and information to back up why it works and like to know that it is being administered appropriately. With the Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse, the data is there and best of all, it works!

What is Acuscope and Myopulse Therapy, and how does it work?
These instruments are FDA approved for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions, and non-invasive pain management. When used correctly it can optimize energy production by up to 500% and you can see an accelerated recovery rate of 50% or more, based off clinical studies. These instruments use a microcurrent system with low voltage and low amperage. Microcurrent is equivalent to the amount of current that we produce naturally in our bodies which allows the body to recognize and respond more effectively to it. With this kind of therapy you are replenishing the amount of current that the body requires naturally for self-repair, allowing the body to heal faster. What separates this therapy from other modalities is the biofeedback system. This unique feature allows it to monitor the tissues at a treatment site and internally adjust to deliver the appropriate amount of current to the site. My instruments are specially calibrated for the cellular norms of animal tissues, utilizing a non-fixed output to ensure that the tissue is never overstimulated.

The Electro-Acuscope primarily addresses the central and peripheral nervous systems which creates an indirect access to the rest of the body through muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bony areas When the body is injured or in a state of acute inflammation its cells can become deficient or hyperactive. The acuscope displays a digital reading which allows me to interpret the health of an area at the cellular level and guide me through the course of treatment. The goal of the Acuscope is to normalize the amount of current in nerve cells to try and return those tissues to a more balanced state.

The Electro-Myopulse is a companion instrument to the Acuscope and has direct access to soft and connective tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and periosteum. The goal of the Myopulse is to normalize the electromagnetic field that surrounds the soft and connective tissues that may have been damaged due to injury or overuse.

The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse system are extremely effective at addressing the body as a whole and bringing it back to a more balanced state using microcurrent. After an initial series of startup sessions people often report that their horses feel lighter, have increased range of motion, their movements are more fluid, and their overall appearance is more relaxed and comfortable.
These instruments have a cumulative effect, meaning that each session builds on the last as it restores the tissues to a healthy state. Because of this, it is recommended to complete an initial series of three sessions to ensure that we can appropriately open up the body and help it become responsive to treatment. From there treatments can be administered individually and at different intervals. An initial series of sessions is best as three sessions over three consecutive days, or minimally 12 hours apart. This allows the body to kind of “jump start” and maintain the benefits of the therapy, versus having one session, then waiting a few days, and having to start back over.

New in 2024, I will be offering general maintenance programs to address and treat chronic conditions, help prevent future injury and provide performance optimization. I will also offer full or partial rehabilitation programs for horses that have sustained injuries to help accelerate the healing process by a minimum of a 50%. If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to treat your horse, feel free to reach out to me! I would love to answer any questions you may have!
