Our partnership with Operation Kindness Humane Society to bring our Surgical Mentorship Center to life was born from a simple belief: we want better for the future of veterinary medicine. So, we’re building it—one surgery, one mentor, one veterinarian, and one patient at a time.

“My mission is to continue learning and growing, while also continuing to help foster a fun environment for my team through team-building activities and local events. I aim to help make people, clients and coworkers, end their day feeling at least a little bit happier!

WAG is the foundation of our team. By working together, amazing our clients and team with leading by example, and growing along the way, we foster the best care for not just pets, but the best care toward one another as a hospital.

If you're passionate about caring for pets and looking for a team that harbors collaboration, growth, and a fun environment, Mission is the place for you!” - Sami, Client Care Specialist

Great veterinary medicine doesn't just happen. It's taught, practiced, and passed down: one mentor, one surgery, one confident new veterinarian at a time.

That belief is why we have launched the Dr. Barbara Craig Surgical Mentorship Center, in partnership with Operation Kindness Humane Society in Carrollton, Texas. It's the first program in our field to pair early-career surgical training with shelter spay/neuter care at scale, and it's built to serve two communities at once.

For our veterinarians: real, hands-on experience in surgical technique, anesthesia, patient safety, and complication management—the kind of training that turns knowledge into confidence.

For our communities: an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 spay/neuter surgeries every year for Texas shelter animals who might otherwise go without.

Between 2026 and 2027, more than 450 Mission veterinarians will train through this program. Every one of them will leave with more surgical confidence and experience and better prepared to strengthen the communities they'll serve for decades to come.

To the teammates and partners who made this possible: thank you. This is what happens when a shared belief becomes something real.
