Our hearts are heavy as we join the Hoover Police Department in mourning the loss of K9 Ace. It is truly an honor for Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic to partner with the Hoover Police Department and have the privilege of caring for their incredible four-legged officers who serve and protect our community.

These special dogs give so much of themselves in service to others. They are dedicated partners, loyal companions, and beloved members of the families and departments they serve. While we are grateful for the opportunity to care for them, we also understand the weight of the responsibility that comes with it.

As veterinary professionals, some of the most difficult moments in our careers come when we must help make decisions out of love, compassion, and a desire to prevent suffering. Those decisions are never easy, especially when it means saying goodbye to a faithful companion who has given so much. Our hearts go out to Officer Hollis, the Hoover Police Department, and everyone who loved Ace and had the privilege of working alongside him.

Ace’s service, loyalty, and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. We are grateful to have played a small part in his journey and honored to care for the brave canines who protect our community.

PSA - our neighbor, Publix, is remodeling their store and has taken away a LOT of our employee and client parking with their shipping containers😞
Unfortunately, we were told that this is going to be like this until May 😟
We have taken half of our employee parking away on the McDonald's side of the building so that our clients can have main access to our lobby; please feel free to utilize these parking spots if our front parking fills up!

📣 A little PSA from your CMAC family

Dr. Sokol will be taking some time away from the clinic for medical leave starting October 7th. We're hopeful that he'll be back with us before the end of the year, but we'll be sure to keep y'all updated along the way!

In the meantime, our amazing Caldwell Mill team will continue taking excellent care of your 2, 3, and 4 legged fur babies 🦮🐈‍⬛🐓🦜🐁🦔🦃🐐🐖🐢🐍

We also kindly ask that everyone please respect Dr. Sokol's privacy and time away from work by refraining from contacting him directly through his personal cell phone and/or Facebook messages. Your prayers, love, support, and well wishes are absolutely appreciated, but giving him the time and space to focus on his health and recovery is important.
