To tell you a little bit about myself:
Hi, my name is Ivey Edwards. Bernard named Leo that might as well have been my nanny (yes, much like Peter Pan)! My Mom said he would bark when I tried to escape my baby bed! My Dad had the family timber business (this is where my background in Environmental Management comes into play) on a farm in Pollard, AL. We had horses, cows, rabbits, dogs, and cats g
rowing up. Yes... I had it good! So I am very well-trained in caring for animals and getting a feel for their temperament. In hindsight, I should've been a Veterinarian....but I have a Psychology and a Sociology Bachelors Degree from UAB and a Masters in Environmental Management (which I thought maybe one day I could do Wildlife Surveys at some point or be a Park Ranger...). I ADORE all things natural.... I am a hiker, biker, and camper. I spent six years as an Environmental Scientist and decided to do something different. I have simplified my life as much as I can, in order to work with the things I love...that give me joy....that make me happy to my CORE... and that's caring for animals. It makes my heart shine and I know for all of you animal lovers out there... you know what I mean! For the Love of Animals,
Ivey Edwards
Hi I'm Philippa Edwards, Ivey's sister. I want to leave this up so you can remember Ivey. I also want to add some things about me...Ivey and I shared so many things as sisters, one being our love for animals. Continuing on with the business seemed natural to me and something Ivey wanted. Doing this has allowed me to carry her with me everyday. I think of Thunder, Mowgli and I running this business together to make Ivey proud and carry on something she loved so much. This past year has been so difficult but these animals have kept me going in my grief. We miss you everyday.. For the Love of Animals,
Philippa Edwards
