βοΈ I know what youβre thinkingβ¦ βNot another policy reminder!β And honestly, I get it, I feel the same way too. But itβs time for a little refresher on cancellation policies here at Kate The Pet Nanny LLC! This is quite a long post but please take the time to read until the end. π
Lately, last-minute cancellations, schedule changes, or forgetting to inform Kate of those schedule changes until the night before, or even forgetting my policies completely, have become more frequent. I completely understand that life happens, emergencies happen, and things come up unexpectedly, and I always try my best to work with everyone reasonably and compassionately. However, I also have to protect my time, income, and business.
This is not just a hobby for me. This is my full time career, my livelihood, and how I continue providing the level of care, reliability, and enrichment your pets deserve πΎ
When you book services with me, that time is specifically reserved for YOU and your pets. Last minute cancellations often mean I am unable to refill those spots, especially for longer services like overnight stays, pawventures, or multiple daily visits & especially last minute. Not only does that directly affect me financially, but it also makes scheduling incredibly difficult for other clients waiting for availability.
Because of this, I wanted to refresh everyone on Kate The Pet Nanny's cancelation policies. The last thing I want is to have to become even more strict, but please keep in mind, this is my full time business, how I pay my bills, take care of my fur family. This is not a hobby. So for now policies will remain the same as they have before and this is just a refresher of those policies.
βοΈOVERNIGHT SITTING & VACATION DROP-IN VISITS
β’ 50% of the total stay cost is due at the time of booking to reserve your dates.
β’ A minimum of 2 months notice is required for cancellations in order to receive your 50% deposit back.
β’ Any cancellation made with less than 2 months notice will result in full payment of service
These bookings often block off large sections of our calendar and prevent us from accepting other clients during those dates.
βοΈDOG WALKING, PAWVENTURES & NORMAL VISITS
β’ I require a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations.
β’ Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will result in full payment being due.
βοΈVIP DOG WALKING, PAWVENTURES & NORMAL VISITS
β’ I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations.
β’ Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will result in full payment being due.
βοΈPLEASE REMEMBER
β’ True emergencies will always be handled on a case-by-case basis at my discretion.
β’ Repeated last minute cancellations may result in refusal of future services.
β’ These policies are in place to protect my time, business, and ability to continue providing dependable care to all of my amazing clients.
β’ These policies are ALWAYS viewable on my website or through "files" on Time To Pet to view the signed contract, if you do forget.
