𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 - 𝗗𝗘𝗔 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝗖𝗦𝗢 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
On Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and the Broome County Health Department will be partnering to bring the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s Nationwide prescription Drug “Take Back” Initiative.
Broome County residents are encouraged to turn in their expired and unused prescription medications for proper disposal at one of six locations around the community.
Residents are asked to keep the medications in their original container with the label intact; however, they may blacken out their name if they wish. All medications, ointments and sprays will be accepted.
Sharps will NOT be accepted at these locations as part of DEA Take Back Day. For a full list of locations to safely dispose of sharps, click here:

Residents can drop off their medications at the following locations with no questions asked:
Broome County Sheriff’s Office – 155 Lt. VanWinkle Dr., Binghamton
Johnson City Elks Lodge – 4212 Watson Blvd., Johnson City

West Endicott Fire Department – 113 N. Page Ave., Endicott
