🐾 Helping mom at work today! It’s tough to make sure I visit everyone so nobody misses out. There are soooo many rooms and It’s not like I can make a list, I don’t have thumbs!

Kept mom safe at the copier, while she spoke to clients (got extra pets from clients) in her office and out back.

Status update: GRADUATED + CGC 🐾💅🏻

hi. I finished school today and I have paperwork to prove it.
I passed my Canine Good Citizen test. That means I can sit polite for strangers, walk nice on a leash, come when called, stay while people walk away, and not lose my mind around other dogs. Basically I’m officially a good citizen now.
My trainer also gave my mom a whole bunch of videos so she knows how to talk to me at home, especially with my new ecollar. It’s not a shocky thing, it’s just how we whisper to each other from far away and when I wear the Ecollar I get to be off leash which is AWESOME!😎

I’m packed, I’m tired, I’m certified, and I’m ready to come home and show off.

Day 12: I WENT TO LOWE’S WITH THE KIDS
hi. field trip day.
we walked through the whole garden center first. flowers, people, carts, I did not sniff a single plant. then we went INSIDE the big store. appliances beeping, forklifts, the whole thing.
I heeled the whole time like I had a job. I did a place on a pallet because why not. Then the best part — they put me in a down in the lumber aisle, dropped my leash, and all three of them walked way far away from me.
I stayed. I watched them go. I did not move until they called me.
then I ran back for pets because I’m fast AND obedient.
I’m ready to help build a deck now. Or at least supervise.

Day 11: FETCH, DROP, REPEAT (like a pro)

hi. today we worked on my favorite game but with rules.
I start on place. He throws the ball. I wait for my release word. I go get it. I bring it back. He says "drop it" and I actually drop it. Then I go back to place and wait for the next one.
No running laps with the ball in my mouth. No pretending I didn’t hear him. No trying to trade it for a treat I already ate.
I did it like ten times in a row and I was very fast and very humble about it.
I’m basically a retriever now. Do I get a new job title?

Day 10: I WENT TO THE TOY STORE AND DIDN’T STEAL ANYTHING

hi. they took me to the pet store and put me in a down right next to the TOY AISLE. You know, the one with the squeaky chickens and the rope toys and the balls that smell like fun.
Then they both WALKED AWAY. Like, left me there. With all the toys staring at me.
Old me would have had a shopping spree. New me just laid there, yawned, and waited like a lady.
I also practiced my perfect heel past the treats and did a very professional down by the adoption center. No barking, no grabbing, no drama.
I deserve every toy in that aisle and also a pup cup. Just saying.

Day 9: DURATION DOWN (aka the art of doing nothing)
hi. today they took me to the busiest sidewalk ever and told me to lay down and STAY.
so I did. for a long time.
cars drove by, people walked past with carts, a kid stood right next to me, someone in a pink shirt stopped to say hi. I just laid there like a professional lizard, watching the world be chaotic.
trainer didn’t have to remind me once. I held my down, I breathed, I did not chase the shopping carts even though they were very tempting.
this is called impulse control and I am now the CEO.

Day 8: I WENT SHOPPING AND DIDN’T BUY ANYTHING

hi. they took me to the store today to practice being a lady in public.
I walked past all the shoes, I laid down in the middle of the aisle while strangers walked by, and I did not move. Then they told me "place" and I got up on the SHELF. Yes, the shelf. I modeled next to the dog beds like I work there.
No barking, no pulling, no trying to sample the treats. I just people-watched and collected compliments.
Employee of the month, obviously. Where’s my name tag?

Swipe for proof that my dog is now cooler than me.
Day 7 took to the skate park in Wiggins. There was a remote control car flying up ramps, kids everywhere, and she just sat and watched it like it was Netflix.
Then she decided she needed modeling shots — one on the park bench, one on the playground steps, one right on top of the skate ramp with her tongue out like she just won the Olympics.
The trainer said her biggest win was NOT chasing the car. For a Cane Corso who used to think everything that moved needed her opinion, that’s huge.
She’s having a whole main-character week and I’m just here cheering from the group chat.
