Acosta Veterinary Hospital is closely monitoring storm conditions. As of today, no appointments or boarding reservations have been canceled, but plans may change as conditions develop.

We do not board pets during hurricanes and may suspend boarding during tropical storms, depending on conditions. Please have an alternative boarding plan ready—we will not risk the safety of pets or staff.

Keep your pet’s food, medications, carriers and records ready, monitor local weather guidance, and watch our website and social media for clinic updates.

When pets help themselves to Halloween treats, unwrapping is rarely their strong suit. Even if the candy isn’t toxic, swallowed wrappers can cause choking or an intestinal blockage. That’s one trick nobody wants. 🐾

Our team’s advice? Keep candy AND the crinkly evidence out of reach, including in a secure trash bin.
