🎉 HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, JACK! 🎉

Today we celebrated Jack turning the big 5 with all of his friends! They enjoyed each other, they enjoyed the cake, and they were VERY enthusiastic about celebrating.

But pictures? Oh. My. God. 😂

Apparently asking a group of dogs to sit still for approximately 4.7 seconds was an unreasonable request. We tried. We really, really tried. And somehow we didn’t even manage to get everyone in the same picture. So please enjoy the photographic evidence we did manage to capture.

Jack is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest boys around. He has the kindest little personality and is just happy to be wherever his people and dog friends are. He’s the kind of dog who makes everyone around him a little happier just by being there.

Happy 5th birthday, sweet Jack! We’re so lucky to get to celebrate you!

Friendly little booking reminder from your neighborhood dog hotel: October is nearly full!

If your pup needs a place to stay or a daycare day, now is the time to get those dates on the calendar before they disappear.

And while we’re at it… the holidays are coming. Yep. Somehow we blinked and suddenly we’re talking about holiday plans already.

If you know you’ll need boarding around Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, or other holiday dates, please reach out sooner rather than later. Holiday spots tend to go FAST, and once the calendar is full, it’s full!

So if your dog has a vacation coming up while you’re off having your human adventures, send me those dates and let’s get your pup booked.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND RECAP: We survived. Barely. 😂🐾

We were BUSY busy over Labor Day weekend! The house was full of furry friends, the toy situation was out of control, and I'm pretty sure there was dog hair in places that dog hair has absolutely no business being!

We had boarders Harlo & Kona, Leo, and AJ, along with most of our regular daycare crew!

Leo and AJ spent the weekend slowly becoming friends, which was adorable to watch. 🥹 And Luna and Josie were THRILLED to be surrounded by all their friends! I think they believe we opened this business strictly for their social lives.

And then there was Leo... our puppy visitor.

Y'all. It has been a little while since we've had a puppy around here, and let me just say... PUPPIES ARE 24/7.

How do they have so much energy?! Who gave them unlimited batteries?! Why are they awake again?! 🤣

But Leo was SUCH a good boy! He is learning so much and growing into an amazing young dog. We loved having him here and watching his little personality shine! ❤️

It was also SO good to see AJ again after a month and a half! And, of course, it is always a good day when Harlo and Kona come to visit because can we PLEASE talk about how ridiculously adorable that little Pomeranian duo is?!

Needless to say, Labor Day weekend was full of barking, playing, naps, zoomies, friendship-building, puppy supervision, and approximately 47,000 requests for treats.

We were definitely busy... but we wouldn't have it any other way!

We are feeling tired, blessed, and approximately 83% covered in dog hair.

Jack has officially decided that the Jolly Ball is the greatest invention in the history of dogs.

Food? LOVE IT! Treats? They're great! Other dogs? Fun!

We had a nice, slower-paced week last week! Of course, we still had our daycare regulars keeping us company, and Charlie Sophie and Daisy even got to come stay for a little boarding visit!

The weather has been so nice lately that we’ve been able to spend even more time outside soaking it all up. It was a good week with lots of fresh air, playtime, and happy pups!

Another BUSY week in the books at Howl Yeah!

We had Ranger, Doodle Luna, Harlo & Kona hanging out for boarding, our regular daycare crew Charlie, Sophie, Nala, Dot & Daisy, and even Miss Sierra came for a daycare day! We also had Jack come spend the WEEK with us because we missed that goofy boy so much! 💙

We tried to enjoy as much outside time as possible… but between the wildfire smoke irritating some of the pups’ eyes and the Blue Angels making appearances in the sky (and startling a few of our more dramatic residents), we spent plenty of time inside too!

Thankfully, indoor time = prime snuggle time.

There was plenty of playing, wrestling, zooming, napping, cuddling and general dog business happening all week. The pups had an absolute blast together, and we loved every minute of having them here! 🐾💕

We are ready for another busy, fun-filled week at Howl Yeah!

Jack is still learning his polite-play manners, so we’re working on reminding him that being excited is great… but keeping those manners in check is even better. 😉 He’s a work in progress!

Of course, Dot and Luna had to come see what all the commotion was about and attempted to join the party. Because no fun is allowed around here without everyone getting involved. 😂❤️

If you’ve been wondering where we’ve been… well… apparently I’ve been too busy actually doing the dog thing to post about the dog thing. 😂

The last couple of weeks have been BUSY around here! Between our regular daycare crew — Dot, Nala, Daisy, Charlie & Sophie — our boarding buddies Bug & Kodiak, and a visit from baby Leo for another day of daycare, there has been approximately zero shortage of wagging tails, muddy paws, dog hair, barking, cuddles, p**p bags and general silliness.

And of course, Luna & Josie have been enjoying their usual very important job of greeting everyone who comes through the door.

And honestly? As exhausting as this job can be, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. ❤️

I genuinely feel so blessed that I get to spend my days surrounded by dogs, doing something I absolutely love. Some days are long, some days are REALLY long, and by the time I finally sit down I have about three functioning brain cells left… but then a dog puts their head in my lap and I remember exactly why I do this. 🥹

So instead of trying to catch up on every single post I’ve missed, here’s a big ol’ Howl Yeah! photo dump from the last two weeks!

Meet Leo! 🐾

This handsome fella joined us for daycare today, and at just 4 months old, he's already a big boy! We kicked off the morning with a nice walk, practiced some heeling at the park, and burned off a little bit of that endless puppy energy... emphasis on a little. 😂

Leo is such a sweet, well-mannered pup who's eager to learn and even more eager to have fun.
