I promised an update, so I thought I’d share that I am back to grooming! However, I’m not taking as many dogs as I was before the back surgery and I’m being a bit more selective so I don’t end up back in the operating room.

I’ve really enjoyed getting back into the groove. I’m still one on one as before and your dog will receive my undivided attention in a clean, calm, quiet environment.

With additional veterinary support available, we are excited to offer a second vaccination and microchip clinic in September! This gives even more pet owners the opportunity to access affordable preventative care and keep their pets healthy. Choose from one of two dates below.

Join us this Saturday, September 12, or Saturday, September 26, from 9am-1pm for our low-cost vaccination and microchip clinic! 🐕🐈

How the clinic works:

🐾 Walk-ins only (no appointments)
🐾 First come, first served
🐾 Limited to 90 people (up to 3 pets per person)
🐾 Registration begins at 8:30am
🐾 Clinic starts at 9am
🐾 The clinic will run until 90 people are registered or 1pm, whichever comes first

When you arrive, line up at the front door to receive a number and one form for each pet. This number is your spot in line. We will ask for a good phone number to reach you at, and then you'll complete the form(s) in your vehicle and wait for a call when it’s your turn to come inside. The clinic will run until 90 people are registered or 1pm, whichever comes first.

Pricing:

Individual vaccines: $12
Cat package (FVRCP & Rabies): $20
Dog package (Bordetella, DHPP & Rabies): $30
Dog package + Lepto: $40
Microchip: $25

Note: First-time Lepto vaccines require a booster in one month.

Safety reminders: Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in individual cat carriers.

I'm so happy to announce I am cleared to start grooming small dogs again!!!

Bad news!!! ☹️
I am so sad to announce I will not be able to groom big dogs until September. My back needs more time to heal before I start on the bigs.

Gold Ridge Groomers will be closed until I am fully healed from back surgery. I have a follow up in early July, hoping to return to grooming mid to late July- small dogs and August- big dogs.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE!!!!!!!!!😭
I had my staples removed yay! Bad news… I am not cleared to groom for a minimum of 4 more weeks.
The doctor said 4 more weeks hopefully ease back with small dogs and no big dogs for 8weeks. 😭

I was told after removing the herniated section of my desk the protective layer that keeps the disc intact needs time to  close back up. She said if I return to grooming too soon, there is nothing holding my disc in place and that it could re herniate again.

So, unfortunately I will not be back as soon as I would have liked. I will update and post on here once I have had my follow up in early July. I apologize for the long time off.
I hit my 3 week mark since back surgery and doing great! My staples come out tomorrow!!!😃
I’m hoping 🤞🏻 to get released to start SLOWLY easing back into grooming in the week or two.
I will be contacting clients with previously scheduled June grooms and then going down the list of text and calls to get all the pups back on schedule as soon I have confirmation I can safely groom again.
