🐾 A NEW APPROACH TO PUPPIES AT EXOTIC PETS 🐾

One of the things we’ve been thinking about a LOT since becoming the new owners of Exotic Pets is this:

Where should our puppies come from?

We don’t want to simply find puppies and put them in a store.

We want to build a program we can feel really good about. ❤️

That means being intentional about the breeders and sources we work with and doing our best to avoid supporting poor breeding practices.

But there’s another piece that we’re especially excited about…

🐶 RESCUE & REHOMING.

There are places across the country where shelters and rescues become overwhelmed with puppies. Some are healthy, adoptable puppies who simply don’t have enough available homes or resources where they are.

We’re working toward building relationships that could allow us to bring some of those puppies to Montana and give them a second chance.

Instead of a puppy’s story ending because there isn’t enough space where they started…

What if their story could start here? 🏡❤️

That doesn’t mean we’re against responsible breeders. Quite the opposite. We believe good breeders who prioritize the health, temperament, and welfare of their dogs deserve to be supported.

Our goal is to have both:

🐾 Responsibly bred puppies from sources that meet our standards
🐾 Rescue/rehome opportunities for puppies who need a second chance

And regardless of where a puppy comes from, our standards won’t change.

Every puppy deserves proper veterinary care, appropriate health records, a clean and safe environment, socialization, individual attention, and a family who is prepared for the lifelong commitment they’re making.

We’re not going to pretend that creating this program will happen overnight. We’re building it carefully and intentionally.

Because we don’t just want to sell puppies.

We want to be part of doing puppies better. 🐾

That’s the direction we’re taking Exotic Pets.
