Thinking about a couple of Rocky classmates that would not leave me alone. Even though I politely declined any form of contact, they just kept at it. I eventually had to cuss them out and block them. If you try too hard to make friends, it usually has the oposite effect. Have some damn dignity.

May, 2024. Y’all know that selling horses is not my cup of tea. But I will always take care of my clients and make sure their horses find the best home possible. Jig was a project that I took in for a restart after he had a 4-year vacation. He turned out to be an excellent horse and he found his forever home in Helena. This was a comment left by his new owner. I strive to run an ethical, transparent business and produce safe, quiet horses that are a joy to be around. Outcomes like this makes it all worth it 💙🐴

Sitka here is looking like a proper Iberian horse! The fringed piece on his face is called a mosquero and it’s used to keep bugs off the face. The original version is made of leather and built directly into the browband. This type of headstall is of common use in European breeds such as the Andalusian, Lusitano and Alter Real for ranch work.

So proud of Rusty today! His mom came to watch us ride and she was happy with his progress and calm, gentle demeanor. Here’s a little snippet of our first trotting session in a big arena. He’s such a couch for a big guy, and so responsive to my seat and leg. Gotta love a c**t that loves to please!

I discovered these Acavallo gel pads a while back and they’re a game changer! Sometimes I get horses that need a little padding on their withers while we work on developing a proper topline, and these do the job perfectly. They’re ergonomic, anti-slip, washable and can be used with different saddles. You can get them locally at Sunrise Arts Saddlery in Billings!
