There is always a bitter sweetness to the end of winter and quiet hints of the beginning of spring, especially this year with low snowfall and so much winter warmth. As gardeners, we withdraw and rest the same way our garden does in the winter months, alive but under the surface, biding our time, preparing for the long days of work in stillness. These days are just as important as the 10pm harvests in early July, chasing the day’s final light as we gather armfuls of harvest. Each season is beautiful in its own way, and while I’ve wished for more snow, I know Nature always has her say. She will challenge us and break us, she will give of herself and yield miraculous abundance. We play a small role. We wait, we work, we watch.

Thankful this winter for a few ski days, including this powder day , for lots of writing (alone, with other women, and teaching / writing alongside kids and teens), for a trip to see family where the grass is green all winter, and for the quiet, dark moments at home.

Produce & flower subscriptions are live and available NOW on our website! Here are our 2026 options:

- 10 week Produce + Flowers
- 10 week Produce Only
- 8 week Flower Only
- NEW! 5 week Peak Produce (with flexible schedule)

All subscriptions include a weekly reminder email with recipe ideas. Details on each subscription can be found on our website.

If your subscription of choice is sold out, shoot me a DM or email ([email protected]) and I’ll put you on a waiting list and potentially move some things around to accommodate.

I’ll potentially be adding more Peak Produce options as we get closer.

ALSO NEW THIS YEAR:

- Moving to ONE pick-up time (Wednesdays 4:45-5:30p) BUT we will have an alternative option to CHOOSE YOUR OWN DAY & TIME WINDOW for a convenient cooler pick-up. We’re building a snazzy lil’ produce stand that will house your goodies in a stay-cool Yeti. You’ll get a subscribers-only code to access if you choose this option.

- Spring, Fall, and extra goodies will be offered throughout the season as they’re available HERE on Instagram and available at the produce stand. Produce, flowers, honey, eggs, and maybe even some other goodies from other growers/makers in the community.

Reach out with any questions if you’re wondering how this works or what it’s like!

Another season in the books. Soon, we will plant garlic and shallots, put things to bed, sit by the fire instead of chasing daylight to harvest and w**d. This is another thing I love about gardening: the mad rush and long labor of summer, the slow speed and cozy restfulness of winter.

And so this is my annual “goodbye” to the social media world. We will see you next spring with ready hearts and little seeds ready to become…
