The calm before the storm is always so beautiful🌅🌧️

With the storm on the way, don’t forget about your four-legged family members! ❤️ Here are a few simple ways to help keep your pets safe and comfortable:
🐶 Keep pets indoors and limit time outside to quick supervised bathroom breaks.
🐾 If they do need to go out use a leash with a securely fitted harness or collar just incase the storm has taken out part of your fence.
💊 Make sure you have enough food and medications to get through the storm.
💧 Keep plenty of fresh water available.
🔦 Have a pet emergency kit ready, including food, medications, blankets, leashes/carriers, and important medical records. Perhaps a few up to date pictures.
🎧The loud noises from the wind and rain could be frightening for your pet perhaps make sure a speaker is charged to be able to play soft music and maybe block out some of the noise.

Stay safe, stay dry, and give those furry family members some extra snuggles! 🐾❤️🌧️🌬️
We are open tomorrow (Saturday 9/26) 8am to 2pm.

National Veterinary Grief Awareness Day is a time to recognize the deep bond between veterinary professionals, pet parents, and the animals they care for. Every loss can carry a profound emotional weight, and veterinary teams often experience grief alongside the families they support.

Today, we honor those feelings, encourage compassion and open conversation, and remind both pet parents and veterinary professionals that they don’t have to carry their grief alone.

Grief is a reflection of how deeply we care, and in veterinary medicine, that care is at the heart of everything we do. 💙 🐾

We will say it again and again the ticks are RAMPANT! 😖
Our tech Jackie found one in her hair during closing chores today so she performed a courtesy tick check on our other tech Stephanie because everyone was feeling a little itchy after the discovery 😅🤣
How the tick was brought inside we don’t know perhaps a furry friend carried it in or perhaps Jackie picked it up on her lunch walk. 🐕🐈

This is why we recommend year-round heartworm flea and tick prevention for both indoor only and indoor/outdoor pets. A tick will hitch a ride on any one! Even you! And it only takes the opening of a door for a mosquito to get in.🦟 Make sure you pet is covered and if they’re not give us a call we can discuss options or get some prevention filled. 📞
