FUN FACT! 💦🐾
Did you know Labradors are descendants of the original working water dogs of Newfoundland?

We’ve been digging into our own pedigrees here at KLR, and our documented lineage traces back through some of the original Buccleuch Labrador families that helped shape the Labrador Retriever we know today.

Generations of working genetics, intelligence, retrieving instinct, athleticism, and that incredible desire to work with their person.

Pretty cool to know where your dog comes from. ❤️

We might just be a little bit OG. 💅😂🐾

And every once in a blue moon, that little white spot on the chest shows up… just a tiny reminder of the history tucked away in our dogs. 💦

First to say hello is this adorable chocolate female! 🍫😍 She is 4 weeks old, cute as can be, and I have a feeling she won’t be available for long!

Vaccinate with purpose. 🐾

Protect against the diseases your dog is actually at risk for.
Use the appropriate vaccine at the appropriate age and on an appropriate schedule.
More vaccines do not automatically mean more protection.

Protection matters. Individual risk matters. Timing matters. More isn’t automatically better.

🐾 🚜 Happy 2 Weeks Old! 🐾
Anyone looking for a yellow male with traditional black pigment… meet Peyton! 💛
He’s officially available for a deposit.

Peyton has quite the birth story. He is the only puppy I’ve ever had that I had to put two fingers behind his ears and gently pull because that giant head got him stuck in the birth canal! 😅

My good friend Morgan immediately named him Peyton Manning. 🏈😂 If you know, you know… and the name has just stuck around here. (Of course, you can rename him whatever you’d like!)

His body has definitely caught up with that famous head. He’s missed exactly zero meals, has been growing like a w**d, and is absolutely massive considering he had 12 siblings to compete with.

My guess is he’s going to be a BIG boy with a blocky, more English-style build.

It has definitely been a team effort around here! ❤️ All 13 puppies have officially made it to 11 days old! 🙌🏼

Lily continues to be such an amazing mama, and the puppies are growing more every day. 🥰 Supplemental feedings have become part of our daily routine, but watching these little ones get stronger and healthier makes every feeding worth it. 🍼

We’re officially halfway there and counting down the days until they reach the 3-week mark, when they’ll get to start enjoying puppy mush! We can’t wait to watch their personalities blossom over the next few weeks. 🐾
