Today's appreciation post is dedicated to someone who continues helping make second chances possible for the animals at The Barking Lot.

In rescue, we often talk about the dogs.

🚨💔 WE DON'T WANT ACE TO GROW UP IN RESCUE 💔🚨

Look at that face.

Seriously.

How is this handsome boy still waiting?

Ace is only 10–11 months old, and he's spent far too much of his young life wondering why nobody has chosen him.

Every day, he wakes up ready to love someone.

Ready to play.

Ready to explore.

Ready to be somebody's best friend.

But at the end of the day, he's still waiting.

🐾 Ace is:
💙 Great with kids
💙 Friendly with other animals
💙 Playful, loving, and incredibly smart
💙 Full of life and adventure
💙 Looking for a family that will help him become the amazing dog we know he can be

Ace isn't a couch potato.

He's a hiking buddy.

A fetch champion.

A backyard explorer.

A dog who would thrive with room to run, play, and simply be a dog.

🌾 A big yard.
🌾 A little land.
🌾 A farm.
🌾 An active family.

That's the life Ace deserves.

Unfortunately, high-energy dogs are often overlooked while they wait for homes, and many end up waiting far longer than they should.

We honestly can't believe we're having to post this again...

Because somehow, D**k is STILL looking for her person. 💔

And if we're being honest? We have questions.

How has nobody scooped up this tiny little gremlin princess yet?!

At just 8 months old, D**k is packed full of personality in the tiniest package imaginable.

✨ Small enough to fit almost anywhere
✨ Big enough to completely take over your heart
✨ Professional zoomie champion
✨ Expert cuddler when she's done causing trouble
✨ Convinced she's at least 100 pounds

D**k wakes up every day ready to make people laugh, steal attention, and remind everyone that confidence has absolutely nothing to do with size.

She's the kind of dog that turns ordinary days into adventures.

The kind that follows you everywhere.

The kind that makes people stop and smile.
