Some people come into your barn for a season, and some leave hoofprints on your heart forever. ❤️🐴
When you own a boarding barn, you quickly learn that horses and people will come and go. It’s simply the nature of the business. But every once in a while, someone walks through your gate that you know you were meant to meet.
Five years ago, Rachel came to High Sierra with a horse she had purchased on a whim because he needed a home—and then she needed a home for him. That alone spoke volumes about the kind of person she is.
What I didn’t realize when I met Rachel was that I was meeting one of the kindest, most honest, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever known. Over the past five years, she and her two beautiful horses have become part of the High Sierra family, and she has become so much more than just a boarder. She has been a friend, a constant source of positivity, and a bright light in my life.
Today, it’s time to close this chapter as Rachel and her horses begin an exciting new adventure on the east side of the state. While they will be deeply missed around the farm, I couldn’t be more excited to see all the amazing things that lie ahead for them.
This isn’t goodbye. It’s simply, “See you in the middle,” and “See you at the next horse adventure.”
Thank you, Rachel, for five wonderful years, for your friendship, and for leaving High Sierra a little brighter than you found it. Wishing you and your horses nothing but happiness in this next chapter. ❤️🐎
