Please join us in giving a huge congratulations to our vet tech Suzi for passing her VTNE yesterday!

Suzi has previously completed an associate's degree in veterinary technology and has been working so hard training and working full time with us while studying for her national exam - the VTNE. This was her last step to achieve licensure in Alaska. We love her commitment to providing the best care and continuing to grow in her career.

Suzi we love having you on the team and we are so proud of you!!!

🍂 Fall into Autumn Safely! 🐾
As the leaves change and temperatures drop, a new set of seasonal hazards can pop up for our furry friends. Here are a few quick things to keep out of paw's reach.
1. Rodenticides: As rodents seek warmth indoors, pest control usage spikes. These are extremely toxic to pets and should be placed carefully where your pets can't acess them.
2. Antifreeze: As you're prepping vehicles for cooler weather remember to keep pets away from antifreeze bottles or spills. Even a tiny lick of ethylene glycol antifreeze can be fatal.
3. Candy: Its candy season! Not only is it showing up in our local stores, soon it will be showing up in our homes and even on the streets. While most of us know how toxic chocolate is to pets, products containing xylitol are just as toxic.

Some quick updates! Dr. Bellows is away at an emergency and critical care conference learning about the latest and greatest techniques, studies and products to keep providing the best possible care to our patients.

We have noticed a rush at the door at 11AM - just a reminder we strongly encourage calling ahead to reduce your wait time. Yesterday we had much longer waits during this time but no wait later in the day! We can help stagger visits, reduce waits and prepare to best help your pet when you call ahead.

To our awesome exotic pet lovers - today and next week 9/17 and 9/18 Dr. Bellows will be out of office. She will be back 9/19. We have a wonderful doctor at the clinic helping us out with our canine and feline patients but will unfortunately not be able to see our exotic friends this week. We apologize for any inconvenience. Hillside in Anchorage, Ravenwood in Eagle River, and North Star and Borealis here in the valley are some other potential options.

Please give us a call at 907-560-8388 or email [email protected] if you have any questions!
