Its rare that we have a heat advisory in Alaska, but its definitely warming up out there! Animals usually do a great job of seeking and finding ways to help them self regulate. However, below are a few tips to help them do that and some breeds are more at risk than others. Keep an eye on your four legged friends during this heave wave and seek care if you feel that they are showing signs of heat stroke. We will be open for normal business hours: Saturday and Sunday from 11am-9pm should your pet need care!

To our awesome exotic pet lovers - this week July 30th to Aug. 2, Dr. Bellows will be out of office. We have a wonderful doctor at the clinic helping us out with our canine and feline patients but will unfortunately not be able to see our exotic friends this week. We apologize for any inconvenience. Hillside in Anchorage, Ravenwood in Eagle River and North Star and Borealis here in the valley are some other potential options.

With that being said, if you are a veterinarian who loves exotics (or know one!) - we are hiring!
