Puppy 1 wrapped up graduation this week, and this group made it look easy.

Six puppies walked into class as works in progress. Six puppies walked out as official AKC STAR Puppies.

That title really means something: Finley, Cara, Ozzy, and Harley, along with (not pictured) Jim and Goose, all showed reliable foundational skills—not just once, but consistently enough to earn the certification. That’s a huge milestone this early in a dog’s life, and it reflects the work every one of these families put in outside of class time, too.ix puppies walked into class as works in progress. Intermediate is where the real work happens: building on the basics and pushing into more distraction, more duration, more real-world reliability. This group put that work in.

This crew showed up session after session and put in the kind of consistent effort that actually moves the needle. Intermediate asks a lot of both ends of the leash, and this group met that challenge with real teamwork.

Another Basic Class has crossed the finish line, and this group brought it every single week.

Let's hear it for Murphy, Maple, Becca, Lola, and Charlotte! Five very different personalities, five owners who put in the reps, and five dogs who are leaving this class more confident and more connected to their people than when they walked in.

Basic Class isn't just about sits and stays. It's about building the foundation that makes everything else possible, and this crew clearly showed up for that work.

Put your hands together for our recent Intermediate Class grads! This session brought together four dogs who showed up, did the work, and leveled up right in front of us.

Watching a class come together over several weeks never gets old. Every one of these dogs walked in with their own quirks and walked out with a little more confidence and a lot more partnership with their people.

Huge congratulations to Helen on earning her CPDT-KA certification!

CPDT-KA stands for Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed, and it's issued by the CCPDT, the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. This isn't something you pick up over a weekend. It requires documented hands-on training experience, continuing education hours, and passing a rigorous exam covering learning theory, instruction skills, husbandry, and ethics. It's one of the most widely respected credentials in the dog training industry, and it exists specifically to separate trainers with verified knowledge from anyone who simply decided to call themselves a trainer.

Helen has put in real work to get here. Watching her grow from where she started to the confident, knowledgeable trainer she is today has been genuinely rewarding to see. She shows up for every dog and every client with patience and care, and this certification reflects the study, the hours, and the dedication she's poured into doing this work well.
