ππͺ½ R.I.P. Bull Creek Bullies Harley πͺ½π
Some losses hit a little differently, especially when you know just how deeply a dog was loved and how much of a familyβs heart she carried with her.
Harley was a girl I had the privilege of producing through Bull Creek Bullies, and although she wasn't mine to keep, I will always have a special place in my heart for the dogs who begin their journey through my hands. There is something incredibly special about watching one of your puppies grow up and become someone's whole world. πΎ
Harley belonged to a gentleman who spent so much of his life on the road working. Through it all, she was his shadow, his companion, and his faithful girl. Wherever life took him, she was there beside him. That kind of bond is something truly special, and I know she wasn't just a dog to him. She was family.
Now, he has a wife and children of his own, a young family who had so much more life left to share with their girl. My heart breaks for them knowing the memories they should have had still to make, the moments she should have been there for, and the years they thought they had left together. π
As a breeder, you hope every puppy you bring into this world gets a long, happy life filled with love. You hope they grow old surrounded by the people who cherish them. But sometimes, life is heartbreakingly unfair, and we are left trying to find comfort in the love that was given rather than the time that was taken.
To Harley's family, I am so incredibly sorry. Please know that the love you gave her mattered. The life she shared with you mattered. And the bond she had with her person will always be something beautiful, no matter how painful this goodbye is.
Run free, sweet Harley. πΉ May there be endless open fields, sunshine on your face, and no more pain beyond the rainbow bridge. You may have left this world, but you will never be forgotten by the people whose lives you touched.
Once a Bull Creek Bullies girl, always a part of the Bull Creek family. ππΎ
Some paw prints are left on our floors, but the most precious ones are left on our hearts forever.
πͺ½ Rest easy, Harley. You were loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten. π
