GRHRCH Holt Farms’ Livin’Life Like Gus McCrae MH X HRCH Harris’ Big Mamous Rebel Josey Wales MH

Gus has multiple titles including GRHRCH and MH. In 2025 Gus was able to pass finished and master tests (15), spring and fall Grands and also Master National pass all in one year. Gus weighs 74 lbs. and is a pinpoint marker, runs excellent blinds and is steady at the line. But just as impressive is his off switch. He is an excellent house dog with great manners and is quiet in the house. Gus has a bright future with more Grand and Master National passes to come!

Josey has excellent land/water marks, runs great blinds and is steady on the line. She has a great off switch and manners. She can be your hunt test/hunting partner one day and your lap dog the next day. Josey has great confirmation and a dark chocolate coat. She weighs 65 lbs. Her pedigree includes her dad who was a GRHRCH, MH and QAA and she is the granddaughter of Gump who was a 7xGRHRCH, UH, HOF, MH and MNH9.

PENDING
We kept Jake from Josey’s last litter knowing that we couldn’t keep him since he was related to all of our females. It’s time for him to find his forever home! He has achieved his HR/seasoned title by his first birthday. Jake could definitely be hunted this fall and then continue training in the spring to complete his finished title. He is eager to please, very trainable, and loves other dogs. He is forced fetched, has good obedience, can cast him with hand signals, and sits on the whistle. Jake is capable of running 200 yard blinds and marks well. A couple of videos in the comments.

HR Harris’ Run Dude Run
Jake (a pup from our Josey’s last litter) received his seasoned title at our club hunt test last weekend. This boy also had his first birthday yesterday! We are so proud of him and appreciate the training by Rowdy Dove of Dove's Dogs. We think Jake has many duck hunts in his future!

We love getting updates on our pups! This is Izzy who now lives in Tennessee. “First duck hunt and she retrieved her first band! She’s doing great and going to be a duck retrieving machine”. The pups from this litter will be 1 year old tomorrow. Happy Birthday Izzy!!

When the forecast calls for 103 degrees you get up early to do some training…..and you might have to share the pond with the cows!

We are so sad to say that we are no longer expecting puppies from our Alli and Gus breeding. We noticed some spotting this morning in Alli’s pen and took her to the vet. The vet confirmed that she had lost the litter. While we are sad about this Alli appears to be fine.
We do have a planned breeding for Josey around the first of August. We will post when we have a more definite timeline.
