A good horsemanship foundation is what I strive for all of my kiddos, young and old, to have! ❤️

We may take things a little slower than some programs, but making sure my kids have the right tools in their toolbox to succeed is far more important to me than speed.

I want them to understand the why behind what they’re doing, build confidence, and develop skills that will stick with them for years to come. 🐴❤️

I’m thinking about doing a weekly Co Op type lesson for homeschool students. It would be 2 hours. 1st hour would be “class work” and the second hour would be hands on horse time. Not necessarily riding but hands on. For ages 5-17. Cost would be $40. Please let me know if you are interested so I can gauge interest ♥️

I want to start this ad by saying: If you want a pony that you can just feed whenever you feel like it, Mr. Peanut is NOT the one for you!

Peanut is a senior pony, estimated to be 22–24 years old according to his previous owners. He’s a cute-as-a-button red dun gelding who stands roughly 38 inches (I’ll get an exact measurement tomorrow).

Peanut is more of a lead-line type of pony, but he will ride off on his own with a kiddo who knows what they’re doing. We were also told that he drives, although I have not personally driven him.

We took Peanut in as a rehab case earlier this year, and since then he has been a favorite at our summer camps. All the littles have loved braiding his gorgeous mane, and he will stand there all day letting them fuss over him. He is incredibly gentle on the ground.

Peanut is current on his feet, Coggins, and dental. He has great feet and has never foundered. Because of his age and teeth, he cannot chew long-stem hay very well, but he does VERY well on soaked senior feed and some alfalfa pellets.

And I want to stress this part: If you aren’t willing to properly care for a senior pony, Peanut is not the one for you. Not because I’m being mean, but because we have worked hard to get him healthy and to where he is today, and I want that continued for him.

His vices? 😂
He HATES you being late for dinner, and he HATES spurs. If your kiddo gets on him and gouges him with spurs, he will scoot. So we’re looking for someone who understands his limits and respects them.

So why is he for sale?

Because this is what I do. I find horses that need a little extra love, get them healthy, and help find them their forever homes. I’m being brutally honest about Peanut because I truly want what’s best for him, and I want to find the right person for him—not just the first person who comes along.
