!!ALERT!! I don’t do this often and never thought I would have to make this post. I’m doing this to alert others as so many don’t know the ND laws. I will fight for you and your pets rights. Laws are in place for a reason.

I had a reservation for Sun Valley RV Park in Beulah which is ran by Beulah Convention and Visitors Bureau. Completed the application, went to pay, I asked if they needed my ESA letters from my doctor and E**** said nope R**** didn’t say anything so it must not be a big deal. Ok I’m just covering my butt because I’ve been in this line of work for years so I know what’s legal and what documentation is needed.
I get a call from R**** today stating she is denying 2 of my ESA animals. The RV park allows two regular animals but law is they can’t reject more than two if I have proper documentation for each animal.

I have transcribed the voicemail into documentation and also recorded our call this AM.

How many of you knew this? I have to take this further because how many others is Sun Valley doing this too. So sad but they have to held accountable.

Today is the day we as communities lay this wonderful, wonderful man to rest. It’s been a tough week for many around Beulah, Hazen & Mercer county. The impact he had on our communities is second to none. He just had the brightest outlook on life even while doing his job so well.
As I’ve heard time and time again he could be taking you to jail and still treated you with utmost respect. Just a kind man. That was Paul Martin. EOW 12/6/2023

I promised I would keep you up to date on Diggers Dawg House. Beulah now has officials who who want new businesses in our community and they are easy to work with. With that said I have been given an opportunity that I can’t pass up. Diggers Dawg House won’t be built in Beulah or even North Dakota.

Though it was my dream to bring it to Beulah I also had much bigger dreams outside of Beulah and it’s time to make those a reality.

I will be relocating out of state later next year.

With that said I can still watch a few dogs if I’m available.

Hey Everyone! I haven’t forgot about you. I have had a new location picked out for months and now that the ex mayor is finally gone I can work together with the economic developer and the city to get land acquired and Diggers Dawg House built. This was a HUGE relief for Diggers Dawg House, you and me as the owner.
Beulah deserves new businesses but it wasn’t something that could be achieved over the last year.

I look forward to finally building Diggers Dawg House and giving you a facility where your dogs and cats are so loved and safe while you are on vacation or out of town for whatever reason.

If looking forward to Doggy Daycare the plans have not changed at all. Also, Cats will be welcomed too.

Hey Friends & Family in Beulah City limits, it’s been awhile but I want to let you know I haven’t gave up on the City of Beulah. Something important is going on now and I need your help.

A petition to recall our mayor is in circulation. Among many reasons I am a sponsoring committee member because I’m so passionate about pets. I ask for your signature on this petition so I can get your dream facility built for this community. The mayor is not allowing a vote to go forward or allowing our economic developer to do his part of bringing new businesses to Beulah. There should be some compromise but I haven’t seen it to this day and that was back in September.

I know you all are wanting a facility so please help me with recalling our Mayor.

I would be happy to drive to you if you would like to sign it. Please message me an address and I will let know when I will be there.

Hey Everyone! I know it’s a little later but I want to give you an update since so many are asking if we are still moving forward.

We have been looking for the perfect place to call home. We have some options.

We are in no hurry to make a decision until the first of the year or so. That gives us some more time to keep looking at options when people call us on land opportunities.

Please keep sending people our way if something comes up or if you hear of anything.

We will build Diggers Dawg House but I want the perfect spot for all your furry friends. They all deserve a clean, safe and fun place to go. Our rescue can use extra help too so I want an area for that as well. Among Grooming and Doggy Daycare we will also have a small retail area.

Hey Pet OWNERS!

Our City Council has voted AGAINST the Conditional Use Permit in our proposed location.
Since they voted against it last night there will not be the other hearing on Sept. 14th

Just know I tried to bring it to Beulah. I will keep you all in the loop soon. We have some options!

We will build this facilty for you pet owners!

Time to be Transparent again!

On Monday night P & Z voted 4-2 in favor to recommend the conditional use to the city. YES! They see what this building brings to the city and the sales tax that will come from a buisiness like Diggers Dawg House.

First of two hearings was tonight for the conditional
Use permit in a C4 Neighborhood Commercial.

The same 5-10 people continue to say the same things meeting after meeting. It’s going to decrease my property value, I’m going to hear dogs bark 24/7 and how will I sleep when I’m on nights.

WE NEED IT in Beulah ….. but……but not in my back yard! That’s what’s coming from our nay sayers.

Do you know the proposed piece of land hasnt had anything on it for over 20 years?
It has sat empty and no taxes have been accrued from it.

Do you know New Energy Apartment residents are allowed two animals per unit as it’s pet friendly. That’s 48 possible dogs in the same building and you and me can not stop that.

Do you know there was a zoning issue for new energy apartments when it was built? It wasn’t zoned for multi family use.

Do you know there are storage units going up that also needed a conditional use but they did that after they started construction?

Do you know I would have to follow noise ordinance just as each of us as community members do?

Do you know the 5 kennels in ND that are near residential communities have not had 1 complaint? This wasn’t even done by me. Those city halls and police departments were called by our city assessor and there hasn’t been any complaints brought to their attention or police reports.

Mayor Gooss stated Officer Baker(who couldn’t be at the meeting) found one in Grand Forks last week where there was some complaints. I haven’t seen these complaints but I will be calling the 5 kennels who board again and contact the appropriate authorities in their jurisdictions. That as of now is just more hear say.

Do you know this is happening right here in Beulah?

This is the same community that is begging for new businesses and a new mayor that while
he is in as mayor says let’s grow and let’s welcome new business owners but hear we are on our 210th meeting.

The dates are approaching for special meetings. I feel confident there are more people for it rather than against it or it’s location but we still need all that support when the city asks for it!
