Memorial Day is a time to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As many families spend the weekend outdoors, traveling or gathering together, remember to keep pets safe too:

Keep fresh water nearby, watch hot pavement, give older pets breaks, and make sure they have a quiet place to rest.

From all of us at Animal Therapy Center, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. 🇺🇸

Happy National Rescue Dog Day!

Today we’re celebrating the dogs who remind us that second chances can come with wagging tails, happy zoomies and a whole lot of love.

Rescue dogs come in every size, age, personality and energy level, from couch potatoes to adventure buddies to “I swear I’m a lap dog” giants. Behind every adoption is a local rescue doing the hard, heart-filled work of helping these pets find safe and loving homes.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a new family member, consider starting local. Visit, share, foster, donate or simply help spread the word. Every little action helps a rescue dog get one step closer to home.

We’re proud to highlight some wonderful local adoption resources, including:

-Lehigh Valley Humane Society
-The Sanctuary at Haafsville
-Peaceable Kingdom
-The Center for Animal Health & Welfare

And from all of us at Animal Therapy Center: whether your dog came from a rescue, breeder, shelter or straight off the “I found you and now you’re mine” express, we’re here to help them move, feel and live their best life!

Here’s to rescue dogs, the people who love them and the organizations that never stop showing up for them.

When people think about rehabilitation or supportive care, dogs usually come to mind first, but they are not the only pets who may need help.

Cats, rabbits and other pets can also experience mobility changes, weakness, stiffness, discomfort or recovery needs. Depending on the pet and their condition, supportive therapies may play a role in helping improve comfort, movement and quality of life.

At Animal Therapy Center, every pet starts with an evaluation so we can better understand their needs and determine what support may be appropriate.

Because comfort, mobility and quality of life matter for more than just dogs.

Not every success story looks like a huge transformation.

Sometimes progress means:

getting up more comfortably
taking stairs with less hesitation
walking a little farther
moving with more confidence
having an easier day-to-day routine

At Animal Therapy Center, we celebrate the small wins because those changes can make a big difference in a pet’s quality of life.

Rehabilitation is not about promising miracles. It is about helping pets move more comfortably, build strength and improve function in realistic, meaningful ways.

If your pet is struggling with movement, slowing down, or recovering from an injury or procedure an evaluation is a great place to start.

Post-surgery support can make a big difference.

After orthopedic surgery, pets often need guided, controlled movement to help recovery stay on track.

At Animal Therapy Center, we use tools like hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill work to help support comfort, strength, mobility, endurance and confidence during the recovery process.

Every pet starts with an evaluation so we can understand their needs and build a plan that makes sense for them.

If your pet recently had surgery or has an upcoming procedure, ask your veterinarian if rehabilitation may be right for them.
