Happy Take Your Cat to Work Day!

Today kicks off Take Your Pet To Work Week with a special “Meow Monday” just for our feline friends.

Cats may not always love a busy office but they do love comfort, routine and having things done on their terms. So whether your cat is joining you at work, supervising from home or judging your productivity from across the room, today is a fun reminder to celebrate the cats who make our lives better.

If your cat is heading to work with you, remember to keep it calm and cat-friendly: bring a secure carrier, water, familiar bedding and a quiet place where they can retreat if things feel overwhelming.

And if your cat says, “Absolutely not”, that counts too. Some of the best coworkers work remotely.

Happy Meow Monday from Animal Therapy Center!

Happy National Dog Dad Day!
We’re celebrating the dog dads who proudly say things like:

“Who’s a good boy?”
“I only came to this event for the dog.”
“No, he’s not spoiled… he’s just well-supported.”

To every dog dad carrying treats in one pocket, p**p bags in another and dog hair on every outfit, today is for you.

Tag a dog dad who has fully accepted that the dog runs the house.

Today is Veterinary Appreciation Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize the people who dedicate their lives to helping animals feel better, move better, heal and thrive.

At Animal Therapy Center, we are especially grateful for Dr. Nixon and the veterinary care that guides everything we do. Behind every treatment plan is knowledge, compassion, patience and a deep commitment to each pet’s comfort and quality of life.

Veterinary medicine is not always easy, but the impact it makes is huge. From first evaluations to long-term mobility support, we see every day how much thoughtful veterinary care can change a pet’s life.

To Dr. Nixon and all veterinary professionals: thank you for showing up for pets and the people who love them. Your work matters more than you know.

Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day.

World Sea Turtle Day

Today we’re celebrating one of the ocean’s most incredible movers: the sea turtle.

Sea turtles remind us how important healthy movement is at every stage of life. Whether they are swimming long distances through the ocean or slowly making their way across the sand, movement plays a huge role in their survival, strength and quality of life.

At Animal Therapy Center, we may not treat sea turtles (yet), but we do understand how meaningful mobility is for the animals we care for every day. From senior pets to post-surgical patients to pets working on strength and comfort, every step forward matters.

Here’s to protecting sea turtles, respecting wildlife and supporting healthy movement for animals of all kinds.

Every missing dog is someone’s family member and awareness can make a real difference.

Today is a reminder to take a few simple steps that can help keep pets safer:

Make sure ID tags are current.
Check that microchip information is updated.
Use secure leashes, harnesses, gates and doors.
Keep a recent photo of your pet on hand.
Share missing pet posts when you see them.

At Animal Therapy Center, we know how deeply pets are loved. Taking a few minutes today to check your pet’s safety details could make all the difference if they ever get lost.

A small check today can help bring a beloved pet home tomorrow.

Today we’re celebrating one of the most unique and eye-catching breeds in the dog world: the Peruvian Hairless Dog also known as the Peruvian Inca Orchid.

These dogs may be known for their lack of fur but they are full of personality, elegance and history. Like many unique breeds, their care needs can be a little different, especially when it comes to skin protection, comfort, exercise and overall body condition.

At Animal Therapy Center, we love seeing pets of all shapes, sizes, coats and no coats stay active, strong and comfortable.

Whether your dog is fluffy, smooth, curly, short-haired, long-haired or hairless, movement matters regardless.

Happy Peruvian Hairless Dog Day from ATC!

Not every pet is ready to jump right into treatment and that is okay.

Some pets need time to sniff the room, meet the team, understand the equipment and feel safe before they are ready to participate.

At Animal Therapy Center, we do not believe in rushing the process. Going slow can help pets build confidence, reduce stress and create a better experience during their visits.

Progress is not always about doing more right away.

Sometimes the first win is simply helping a pet feel comfortable enough to try.

For many of us, pets are not “just pets.” They are family, companions, comfort, routine and love wrapped into one.

Today, we pause to remember the dogs, cats, rabbits and all beloved animals who have left paw prints on our hearts. Whether they were with us for many years or only a short time, their impact stays with us.

If you are missing a special pet today, we invite you to share their name or a favorite memory in the comments. We would be honored to remember them with you.

Always loved. Never forgotten.

Happy Best Friends Day!

Some best friends have four legs, wagging tails, soft paws, big ears or even tiny noses.

Today is a perfect reminder to celebrate the pets who make our lives better every single day. Whether they are still running circles around the house or moving a little slower than they used to, they deserve comfort, care and support through every stage of life.

At Animal Therapy Center, we love helping best friends feel better, move better and enjoy more good days with their favorite people.

Drop a photo of your best friend in the comments, we’d love to see them!
