Welcome to Pine Ridge, Shelby!
Horses have been a part of Shelby’s life for as long as she can remember. She grew up in the hunter/jumper world and has had the opportunity to learn from a wide variety of professionals, riders, and trainers along the way.
Her experience spans quite a few corners of the horse world — from equitation, hunters, and jumpers to barrel racing. She has competed in USEF, AQHA, and NBHA competitions, including the Junior World Finals in Las Vegas. For the past several years, she has competed in the jumper ring with her own horses, primarily at HITS Ocala and World Equestrian Center in Ocala, while also spending her winters competing in both jumpers and barrel racing.
Along the way, Shelby has also had the opportunity to groom and ride for an international rider, gaining valuable experience in preparing horses for high-level competition and the sale of imported young horses. She has also worked alongside a sports medicine veterinarian, adding another perspective to her understanding of horses and their care.
But perhaps the most important thing to know about Shelby is that for her, horses have always been about more than competition. Her horses are family, and the relationships she has built with them are at the heart of why she loves what she does.
We’re looking forward to having Shelby share her experience, knowledge, and love of horses with our Pine Ridge riders! Whether your goals are in the show ring or simply becoming a more confident and capable rider, we’re excited for you to get to know her. 🐎
Welcome to Pine Ridge, Shelby! 🤎
