🎉 Big Shout Out to Biscuit & Stanley for completing their 2-Week Double Dog Board & Train Program! 🎉

We’re proud to welcome Biscuit and Stanley and their family to the Ridgeside K9 pack! 🐾🐾
This was a unique and rewarding case that brought together two dogs at very different stages of life and trained them to work confidently as a team.

Biscuit is a 7-year-old, longtime family companion who already had an established role in the household.
Stanley is a newly adopted 6-month-old puppy, learning structure, boundaries, and how to navigate life in a brand-new home.

During their 2-week double dog Board & Train, our focus was on creating balance between an experienced adult dog and a young puppy teaching both dogs clear expectations, calm confidence, and reliable obedience together.

Key areas of focus included:
• Building calm neutrality and focus around distractions
• Establishing consistent structure and communication in a multi-dog household
• Teaching both dogs how to work side-by-side with clarity and control
• Developing a clean, reliable DOUBLE HEEL, allowing Biscuit and Stanley to walk calmly and in sync
• Improving impulse control, engagement, and overall manners

Training two dogs of different ages at the same time requires precision, consistency, and leadership and both Biscuit and Stanley rose to the challenge. Biscuit learned how to confidently work alongside a younger dog without frustration, while Stanley gained confidence, impulse control, and clarity by following structure and example.

Through structured training, consistency, and balanced methods, both dogs made impressive progress. By the end of their program, they demonstrated improved emotional control, stronger obedience, and the ability to move calmly and confidently together most notably through their double heel work.

Biscuit and Stanley are now back home and continuing to thrive with a committed family dedicated to reinforcing their new skills. We’re incredibly proud of their progress and excited to watch them continue to grow into calm, confident, and well-mannered companions together. 💪🐕

🎉 Big Shout Out to Tasha for completing her 3-Week Board & Train Program! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to welcome Tasha, a 9-year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix, and her owner to the Ridgeside K9 pack! 🐾
Tasha is a special case, living in a busy assisted living community, where daily foot traffic, automatic doors, elevators, and frequent visitors created significant anxiety and reactivity challenges.

During her 3-Week Board & Train program, our training focused on real-life functionality and safety. A major priority was teaching Tasha how to remain calm, polite, and neutral at doorways, as well as learning to heel calmly and reliably while her owner uses a walker due to mobility limitations.

Through structured training, patience, and consistency, Tasha learned how to:
✅ Stay composed during door openings and hallway traffic
✅ Walk politely at heel without pulling or crowding her handler
✅ Navigate busy environments calmly and confidently
✅ Make thoughtful choices instead of reactive ones

This program proved that old dogs can absolutely learn new tricks, especially when training is tailored to their lifestyle and handler needs.

👏 Huge shout-out to trainer for his excellent work with Tasha and for delivering practical, life-changing results that truly improve quality of life.

Now back home, Tasha is thriving in her assisted living community, moving calmly and safely alongside her owner. We’re extremely proud of her progress and honored to support a team that needed training built around real-world challenges. 💪🐕

Big Shout Out to Merle for completing his 2-Week Board & Train Program! 🎉

We’re so excited to welcome Merle and his amazing family to the Ridgeside K9 pack! 🐾 Merle came to us needing help with several challenges, including reactivity, separation anxiety, and potty training issues that were creating stress for both him and his family.

During his Board & Train program, our focus was on building calm confidence, clear communication, and reliable structure. We worked extensively on helping Merle remain neutral around triggers, developing independence to reduce anxiety when separated from his owners, and creating a consistent routine to support successful potty habits.

Through structured training, consistency, and balanced methods, Merle made incredible progress. By the end of his program, he showed improved emotional control, reduced reactivity, greater confidence when alone, and much more reliable potty behaviors. Most importantly, he learned how to relax, focus, and make better choices in everyday situations.
