🐾💙 Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week: Staff Spotlight! 💙🐾

Today, we're shining the spotlight on our very own Licensed Veterinary Technician, Jenna Brennen, LVT! 🎉

Jenna has been dedicated to veterinary medicine for 16 years and counting! Her passion for working with animals began at a young age, and she's always loved surrounding herself with animals of all kinds! What started as a childhood love for animals has grown into a rewarding career dedicated to their health and well-being. ❤️

Now, let's get to know Jenna a little better! 🐶🐱

We asked Jenna a few fun "getting to know you" questions, and here's what we learned!

🐬 If she could work with any animal in the world: Jenna would dive right in with the dolphins!

🌿 Her ideal day off: Spending quality time with her family while enjoying a refreshing iced coffee!

🐶 Cats or dogs? She's definitely more of a dog person! She shares her home with two four-legged companions—a Pointer mix and a Pit Bull mix! 🐾

☕ Her caffeine fix: Iced coffee or sweet tea! (A little caffeine and Southern sweetness!)

⚡ Her superpower of choice: The ability to fly! (We can only imagine how handy that would be on a busy day at the clinic!)

🎶 Her personal theme song: "Babydoll" by Jamie Miller would play every time she walked into a room!

🐾 If her pets could talk: She's pretty sure they'd tell us that their mom is ALWAYS singing or dancing! 🎤💃

We are so grateful for Jenna's 16 years of dedication to veterinary medicine, her compassion for animals, and the care she provides to our patients each day. Her experience, hard work, and commitment to helping animals make her a valued member of our team!

We're lucky to have Jenna as part of the Battletown Animal Clinic family! 💙

Shelly has been dedicated to veterinary medicine for 19 years and counting! Her passion for working with animals began at a young age, fueled by a lifelong love for animals. We asked Shelly a few fun "getting to know you" questions, and here's what we learned!

🐾 If she could work with any animal in the world: Shelly would choose big cats (lions, cheetahs, etc.) or marine mammals like seals and dolphins! 🦁🐬

🍂🐾 DID YOU KNOW? FALL EDITION! 🐾🍂

🦟 Cooler weather doesn't mean fleas and ticks have disappeared! 🍁

As the leaves change and temperatures begin to drop, it's easy to assume those pesky parasites are packing their bags for the season. Unfortunately, that's not the case! 🚫🧳

🐶🐱 Here's what every pet parent should know:

🍁 Fleas love a cozy home! While outdoor temperatures may be dropping, fleas can continue thriving indoors where it's warm.

🕷️ Ticks are tougher than you think! Some tick species remain active during cooler fall weather, especially on mild days.

🐾 Parasites don't take a fall vacation! Fleas and ticks can expose pets to health concerns, including skin irritation, allergic reactions, and certain diseases.

💊 Prevention is key! Keeping your pet on veterinarian-recommended flea and tick prevention throughout the year helps provide consistent protection.

🎃 DON'T LET UNINVITED GUESTS HAUNT YOUR PET THIS FALL! 👻

Not sure which flea and tick prevention is best for your furry family member? Our team at Battletown Animal Clinic is happy to help!

📞 Give us a call at 540-955-2171 to discuss your pet's parasite prevention needs.

🐾 Because keeping pets healthy is always in season! 🍂❤️
