Summit decided to join in the fun of veterinary bills today after giving himself a large laceration while outside for a quick potty break.

He didn’t even seem to notice what he did to himself, but required anesthesia and repair at the ER. He’ll be out of commission for a few weeks, unfortunately, but am hoping he’ll heal up quickly.

He feels nothing is wrong and he should be able to back to work tomorrow. Sorry buddy, that’s a no.

Heard barking in the dog yard (they have 3 acres of woods to play and explore daily). Found the gang at the base of this tree. No idea what they found but they were determined to get whatever it was (they didn’t).
Ravioli with the athletic leap (I missed the few before).

Crazy dogs…

Summit took third at the regional championship!

The grounds are rather jungle-like currently, which makes it difficult for dogs to keep track of their handler, but Summit held it together for a placement!

In his first trial of the season, Summit laid down a very nice run to win Open All Age for a three point major!

He is now just one retrieving credit shy of his Field Championship, and hence, a Dual Championship. He is truly the epitome of a dual dog ❤️.
