So I posted a while back about Angus having new shades so he could retrieve a few crane on our Canada trip
After talking to the guides they advised against it as crane not only can peck them in the eye but have been known to swing their head around while being carried and stick a dog in the flank area striking the kidneys and of course dog may not recover from that so the photo op here is after a hunter walked out and finished the not yet dead crane off (THEY DID NOT DIE VERY EASY)and then sent Angus out .
Of the few cranes we got only one was dead without us having to finish off so that is not worth the risk for me.
Overall a great trip with good friends while make new ones .

OH OH WAIT DID I MENTION I SHOT A 25 YESR OLD BANDED SPECKLE BELLY GOOSE.
