🐰💙 FUN FACT FRIDAY: RABBIT EDITION! 💙🐰

Some-bunny has some fun facts to share! 🥕🐾

From their adorable twitching noses to their fluffy little tails, rabbits are full of personality! But there’s much more to these lovable little animals than meets the eye!

🐰 10 FUN FACTS ABOUT RABBITS!

🥕 1. Happy Hoppers! When rabbits are especially excited, they leap into the air, twist their bodies, and kick their feet! This adorable little dance is called a binky!

🐰 2. Those Ears Do More Than Hear! Rabbits can rotate their ears independently to detect sounds from different directions. Their ears also help regulate body temperature!

🥕 3. Teeth That Never Stop Growing! A rabbit’s teeth grow continuously throughout its life, making a healthy diet rich in hay essential for keeping them properly worn down.

🐰 4. Almost 360° Vision! With eyes positioned on the sides of their heads, rabbits can see nearly all the way around themselves without turning their heads!

🥕 5. They’re Not Rodents! Despite their resemblance to some small rodents, rabbits belong to a completely different order of mammals called Lagomorpha.

🐰 6. Built for Speed! Some rabbits can reach speeds of around 35 mph when escaping danger!

🥕 7. A Special Kind of Purr! When rabbits are relaxed and content, they may gently rub their teeth together, creating a soft sound similar to a cat’s purr!

🐰 8. They’re Surprisingly Smart! Rabbits can learn their names, recognize familiar people, use litter boxes, and even learn simple tricks!

🥕 9. Social Butterflies! Rabbits are naturally social animals that form strong bonds with other rabbits. Bonded pairs often groom each other and cuddle together!

🐰 10. A Nose for Everything! Rabbits have an incredible sense of smell, and their famous twitching noses help them gather information about their surroundings!

💙 At East Holmes Veterinary Clinic, we love caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, including our adorable little rabbit friends! Proper nutrition, a safe environment, and routine veterinary care are important for keeping these fluffy companions happy and healthy.

🐾 Hobbes would like to file a formal complaint… 🐾

Apparently, Veterinary Technician Week has involved a little too much celebrating and not enough working! 😂

He’s patiently waiting for everyone to get back to business… preferably the business of giving him attention. 🐱💙
